I have combination/ oily acne prone skin. I gave up face cleanser for a diy simple routine that was less harsh for my skin. This is a terrible alternative for diy cleansing, and this left my cheeks with clogged enlarged pores, I had to nature my skin back and its been over a year.

I’ve got some red bumps after using manuka honey as a mask. My skin was beautifully glowing but partially red and irritated. Worth trying, but I can’t use it.

This breaks me out in whiteheads and irritated bumps, not as bad as manuka, but still took me while to recover.

This is seriously the best decision I’ve ever made. I’ve stopped using store-bought cleansers and soaps and masks, and have been using honey as a face mask every night. Not only do I wake up with a glow, any pimple I’ve had the night before either shrinks/ comes to a head or simply disappears. The process may not be instantaneous but I see results after just a couple of tries, and that’s enough for me. This morning I decided to add cinnamon into the honey to spot treat a couple of cystic acne that would not go away. I also ended up smearing it all over my hyper-pigmentation marks left from previous acne because I’m so extra lol. But guess what? After 30 mins, I washed it off and saw that my inflammation was almost gone. I wasn’t even expecting it! My face wasn’t red, I didn’t experience ANY burning sensation (which is what most reviews on cinnamon have said)- I guess it’s because I bought organic cinnamon (?). I am LOVING this combo. If you have acne please change up your skincare routine to a simpler, more gentle and natural one. Have a go at this. It’s also inexpensive! I can’t think of any con except that it’s sticky, so it’s uncomfortable for an overnight mask (I still do it regardless)… good luck!

I’ve started using honey with some cinnamon to dab on to the pimples that come up from time to time. I find it works really well and within a few days it’s gone. Even for those nasty cystic pimples! I just mix a very small amount of both and use a toothpick to apply. I try to leave it on at least twice a day for 20 mins.

I really wanted to like this. It lookied like it was working and making my acne disappear. Then my acne got radically worse. To this day, I’m not sure whether that was because of the stress I was under at the time or because of the honey. I do think it was the honey, though, because I stopped using it and my acne got better (full disclaimer: that wasn’t the only change I made. I also started to drink more water and I purchased a higher-end skincare routine from Biotherm).

I have had a lot of success using honey as a face wash and as a hair treatment. I still need to try it out for other things as it seems to do a lot!

Awesome! I was looking for a non frosty tan nude well here ya go I also bought Baby Pink & Harmonica so u can kind see I like pale lips. honey reminds me of the whole Kim K. lips thing all 3 colors could suffice (who is Kim K? Isn’t she like a 100 years old? Her half sis Kylie’s lips stole Kim’s thunder poor kim <3 1st world probs for sure). I don't own a single lipstick exactly like this which is cool coz I keep buying all the same colors in diff lines seems like. Maybe MAC Myth or ELF Party In The Buff/Natural Nymph would be as close. It has very little in the way of pink tones straight up tan. No frost which is good coz I'm trying to add colors to my collection which aren't frost bombs. I'm pushing 40 so it's time to reevaluate & go for mattes, brown eyeliner/mascara, & lips that aren't wildly different in color than my own (eg nude, pale colors no bright red or purple or black lol). This lipstick is classy not trashy n I love NYX lipsticks, they are so grand! I get mine from Ulta dot com normally so it's a crapshoot deciding what colors to get but the last 3 have been spot on! I'd describe this as a creamy pale taupe color.

This is the second Nyx round lipstick I bought – the first was Blush. It looked great when I swatched it on my hand but by the gods, it looked like I wore concealer when I wore this on my lips. I looked dead, washed out and it highlighted my imperfections. But when I put Blush on top of it, it looked waaaaaaay better.
The formula is great as usual, dries to a semi-matte finish and lasts a couple of hours. Would probably buy it again if I want to wear a toned down Blush.

Gorgeous nude shade. Pale, not too pink, not too peach. Only very slight problem is that comes off just a bit harsh on my skintone, like a concealer, without a gloss applied on top. Other than that, good, creamy, moisturizing formula.

I’m tan with yellow undertones & this is the perfect nude on me. Its hard to find a brown nude that doesn’t have pink in it or peach. This specific shade is just pure brown. It is not dark on me at all but i guess if you are pale it will be. The formula though is what i kind of don’t like. It is very creamy and it doesn’t last long. Not that i would want it to be matte and drying but i just wish it was formulated to last longer and not glide around so much. Regardless i love this color. I tried finding my perfect nude in mac but i found it in this lipstick instead. Love! And great price too.

great nude…for someone with tan skin. makes me sad. im nc20 n its just too dark. buttt, my elf natural nymph is a little too light so i mixed them n its a good combo 🙂 esp bc nn is a tad drying n honey is super moisturizing.

This is one of my favorite nude lipsticks. Let me show you why..
For reference, I am NC20 in MAC, with a bit of a pale pinkish undertone to my lips.
It has a creamy consistency. Semi matte, non sheer, no shimmer. I like this product since you don’t need to use a lot to build up the color you want. It tends to crease on my lips when applied generously, so I use my ring finger or a lip brush to apply it. I can’t use this alone, because for an NC20 like me, I look paler with it like I’m ill, so I have to use a gloss on top of it, not a clear gloss because it wouldn’t help but a peachy to bronzy gloss so as not to look pale. It blends with any look I have especially if I’m doing dark bronzy shadows or dark colors to my eyes. It blends perfectly with the any peachy to bronzy gloss I use. The only problem I have with this product is that the product is so soft that it melts and when I apply it barely from the tube it breaks on the point between the product and the tube that holds it. So I just pack it on my lips instead of creating one sweep so as to keep it from breaking off wasting the product and making the packaging messy. It is a cheap product and would love to repurchase. It doesn’t last long but I didn’t expect to have a better staying power basing from the price. I still love it because its so pigmented and saves you a lot of money from high end products.

This looks similar to Circe in the tube at first, but Honey is just a bit warmer. So if you tried Circe and thought it looked a little too gray or cool, this may be a much better alternative.
It’s a warm fleshy beige nude. Not too orange, but still warm enough to not make me look like I have no lips. For reference I am NC20-25 yellow undertones, Asian.
I was thinking about getting the MAC Viva Glam Gaga 2 lipstick but saw on a blog swatch that this was a pretty close dupe, so I opted for the Nyx Honey instead. The formula is creamy with good pigmentation, similar to Circe’s finish. No shimmer or frost. No weird smell. I like that its buildable to a completely opaque look. Lasting power is as long as any other regular drugstore lipstick in my opinion. It does tend to accentuate any flakiness so I always exfoliate and apply balm before application. Very inexpensive; $.99 to around $5 depending where you buy.
If you’re on the hunt for a good nude lipstick, this one is worth a shot. Nice quality and super cheap.

I mix honey with baking soda for a gentle exfoliant. I keep it in a air tight container in my shower, it keeps well for weeks. I don’t make large batches at a time. I love this exfoliant and have used it for years. Smell beautiful, tastes like honey comb leaves my skin feeling soft and never dry.
I mix honey with lemon juice to lighten my skin. I result is slightly lighter skin tone with out the drying effect of lemon juice.

I decided about a year ago to start going all natural with my skin care. I have sensitive skin to the point that I can’t use any product that has chemicals in it. Even washing my hands with regular soap dries it out. I started using raw honey in my everyday regime as a twice daily wash. I love it!! It has helped my skin and makes it feel super nice. This is a wonderful product and will continue to use it for my acne skin!!

I use honey mixed with oat flour (Bob’s Red Mill brand) as a mask, and it’s so soothing! The oat flour exfoliates as well.

This product was disappointing because I had really high hopes. The colour was far too dark for me, almost looked like a gold rather than a nude. I don’t completely hate it because the consistency was lovely but I just didn’t like the colour. I loved the packaging and thought it was really high quality. I paid about $5AU for it which was really good, but i’ll be passing this one along.
drearyWhiting1
The color by itself is too close to my actual skin tone so it washes me out. But if I pair it with a nude pink lipliner, it looks great! It is very creamy upon application and dries nicely!

Horrible colour. I swatched it on my hand and knew it wouldn’t work. The swatches on websites are a little misleading. I thought it would be more peachier, but it looks like I applied concealer on my lips. Gross. Passing this on.
