If it’s good enough for Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Kidman and The Beckhams then I’m not going to say no to Heaven Skincare either…especially when in this instance it’s not costing me a dime. I received a very generous trial size of this when purchasing other Heaven products. Tried using it twice but both times I could not get past the intense irritation. My skin wasn’t particularly red when I removed the peel so I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a reaction, it’s probably the concentration of glycolic acid in here – when you open the jar it literally reeks of it (if you’ve ever smelt a glycolic product before it’s that same pungent odor but x 10).
1st attempt I managed all of 60 seconds and on the 2nd go just under 2 minutes. There’s still plenty left in here for at least another 6 applications, which will probably be confined to my arms or back of my hands. One heck of a generous GWP though, especially considering per gram how much this stuff costs! The peel itself is like a thick but non-greasy cream and goes on easily enough. Honestly though, even for the short duration I used it the results were nothing more or less than any other glycolic or Lactic acid product I’ve used in the past i.e smoother more refined skin texture and a nice glow to my skin. It definitely isn’t a miracle product and not something I would go out and buy in full size as I don’t feel the results justify the high cost of this product. And now four Heaven Skincare products down the line, I’m still not convinced that the ‘Abeetoxin’ in all the products is the highly touted ‘alternative to botox’ in any way, shape or form.
Adore the packaging though, very stunning and sleek silver effect. If there’s one thing Deborah Mitchell’s brand has hit the nail on the head with, it’s the packaging of her products!
P.s In 2017 this used to be marketed as a strictly limited edition product but it looks like it’s become a permanent fixture for the brand as still on their website as of 2019. Someone, somewhere must be liking it!

I love constantly trying out new stuff – usually sample sizes via e-bay, also plenty courtesy of a friend who works at Sephora)
