I’ve tried many products from Ole Henriksen and usually have a love/hate relationship with the brand. When they released their new Glow Cycle Retin-ALT Power Serum I thought I would give it a try. The Glow Cycle Retin-ALT Power Serum is meant to be a daytime AHA serum with what Ole Henriksen deems a natural retinol alternative called bakuchiol. I’m not a huge fan of using AHA’s during the daytime due to the higher possibility of sun damage because AHA’s exfoliate some of the top layer of skin- so if you decide to use this definitely follow up with a good sunscreen. The other thing that I wasn’t huge about was the amount of fragrance ingredients included in the Glow Cycle Retin-ALT Power Serum, although I must admit that the scent did smell nice (kind of like a lemon sherbert). I prefer not to mix fragrance with exfoliants, especially ones that are going to be used in the daytime. This does have a nice silky texture and is absorbed nicely, I have noticed some brightening of my skin, especially over my forehead while using this. This didn’t pill when I applied sunscreen and foundation over it. I’ll probably use the rest (or hand it down) but I probably wouldn’t repurchase it. My video review can be seen here: o
