   I’m really surprised how much I like this! I found it very effective. Within a week, my skin truly was “glowing”. I felt much more confident just in BB cream, rather than foundation after the week. I didn’t find it harsh or irritating, but I used it mixed with moisturiser. When I tried it with the matching cleanser as well, I found it was too much, and I got a bit red. On it’s own, it was all good! I will definitely buy again. I will probably use it twice a year as a real refresh.

   I am always on the hunt for a good vitamin C based serum, and this one proves to be very good.
   Once you’ve mastered how to get the little bottle open and working (you need to remove a foil first, then press the rubber buton and then shake well the powder to dissolve into the liquid), you are set.
   Of course, this concoction is not very stable and it is recommended you use it within 7 days.
   I do this a twice a year, one month cure in spring and autumn, when I need my skin to deeply renovate.
   It certainly works, proven that you use it morning and evenings. it will smooth skin and my hyperpigmentation spots will be doing better after the one month cure!
   Yes it is truly expensive, at each bottle priced at Eur 15 (and you get less than 10 ml of product), and you need 4 for a month.
   but it is worth it.

   I tried this and saw a difference in a night. I’ve never had that with a product before. I am 57, normal skin but sensitive – can get red easily on my cheeks. I bought one out of curiosity and was really surprised that it worked so quickly. I’m always buying new skincare products to try and keep my skin in the best condition. Doesn’t stop aging, but I don’t think anything short of surgery does that, and I will never go down that road. Really impressed.

   This is my favorite Vitamin C for travel due to packaging. To activate the serum/booster you have to press the ball end to release the liquid/gel into the powder vitamin C. It says it’s only good for 1 week, but I will use it until it is done, which when used once a day will last me 1 month. However it will start to oxidize and develop on orange color by the end of the month. Can be used twice a day, but I only apply once a day in the morning. (I use a retinoid or retinol at night). I use it as a straight serum, but can be mixed with ones moisturizers. Not sticky, and the times I have mixed it in with my moisturizer it blends in nicely. For reference I prefer gel cream moisturizers. Super pricey, so it’s not my daily Vitamin C. The package makes it perfect for travel. Works very well, my skin is brighter and feels smoother when I use this product.

   This is the first vitamin C I tried. I assume there are better products out there but I don’t know for sure. So please take this review with a grain of salt.
   I got this to help with some dark spots. Been using it for 2 weeks so it’s too early to say if this works. What i can say is that I hate applying it.
   The dispenser itself is a good idea – keep the vitamin C fresh until you want to mix it. But it doesn’t work for me. Sometimes I do feel the graininess of the vitamin, sometimes there’s not enough product coming out. It’s inconsistent or its just sensitive to the fact that I’m not pressing it exactly the same way each time… because I’m human.
   As for the priduct itself, it mixes the vitamin with an amollient that I hate. Feels like way too much silicone and it’s sticky and uncomfurtable in the 20 minutes it takes to dry. I have very dry skin so after using this booster, I want to put on a moisturiser or a mask, especially at night. I feel all this silicone is just getting in the way of other products since it’s occlusive. And I’m sure there’s a vitamin C out there that allows using a moisuriser after since that’s what you’re supposed to do with this kind of product.

   Holy grail. I’m not sure if this stuff is amazing on its own or because I have finally found the right mix for my skin, but this is the real deal.

   It’s an odd little bottle (hat tip to notjustgingerly for cracking hers open! I wondered what exactly was in there) – peel the foil, push the orange “button”, shake and dispense two drops from the “dropper” end by squeezing. It’s lovely. No annoying little ampoules (love your product, Arden, but I hate the little devils). No messy fingers. Much less wasted product, both in terms of nothing excess comes out and it will stay shelf stable for a bit longer.

   Shake it every morning. It is the smoothest serum ever with a faint icky smell. I use the word “icky” because it’s only if you sniff it directly and I assume it’s just the scent of the active ingredients. It fades immediately anyway. It has the slip of silicones, but really smooth ones, not the faintly tacky ones. It glides over everything so smoothly; using it is just a joy.

   The real joy comes about ten seconds later. I’m really not up on my chemistry anymore, but what magickry is this? Yeah, there’s maybe some ‘cone smoothing, but I put it on, put on my SPF and then looked at my face to assess what needed covering. My skin looked amazing. Amazing. Brighter, fresher. I didn’t wear makeup. I haven’t worn Foundation this week, and my regular undereye concealer looks a ton better at the margins (this is not for use around the eyes). I just – you know that scene in Death Becomes Her where Meryl’s Madeline Ashton has taken the potion and turns and says, “I’m a girl!”? That is how I feel with this on and I am hoping the effect continues!

   I got this as a free GWP with a Clinique order. It’s an elegant alternative to vitamin c serums in dropper bottles, and since I used this only in the mornings, it lasted over two weeks. The vial is a bit tricky to operate, once or twice I did not dispense it exactly where I wanted them in my palm, but it could just be me as I feel I got more than “two drops” so perhaps I was not handling the vial properly.
   The ingredient list is quite impressive, with peptides and other beneficials as well as some humectants, so it adds a touch of a hydration boost. The whole package makes incorporating a guaranteed fresh vitamin c product super easy to use and when following the instructions I don’t see how anyone could f*** this one up, the only risk being a poor reaction to vitamin c or to any ingredient in the base mix. There’s written instructions as well as pictures and a video on how to activate the vial and use the product.
   I took apart my vial to see what devilry is going on inside… There are two compartments, one holding the base mix, and a second holding ascorbic acid powder, with a piece of foil separating the two. Inside the rubber stopper has a plastic spear that punctures the foil and shaking activates the serum, mixing the powder with the base. As vitamin c starts to disenigrate and oxidize the moment it is mixed with water, this method is so far the most ingenious method of getting the freshest vitamin c serum possible, but a rather expensive one.
   However, if you’re willing to give up convenience to save money, you will look up how to make your own vitamin c serum. After all, this is just powdered ascorbic acid mixed with a base, and vitamin c hs been found to prevent, even reverse sun damage, so who wouldn’t want to look into every possible method of how to incorporate it into their skin care routine. I got a big jar of it for less than one vial of the Clinique stuff that will last me over a year.

   This is very good. I pair it with my usual routine: serum spot eraser from Lancome and follow by La Mer moisturizing cream, I wake up with very smooth glowing skin. Love it! Excellent as pre serum / pre moisturizer. Non fragrance and good packaging for vit c. A little pricey but I’ll buy it again.

   So I picked up the two week set, including the powder face wash. Cost me about $50 on the Clinique website. Got two serum bottles, 14 packets of powder and an orange cosmetic bag.

   I kept serum in the fridge all week, just for quality reasons considering the Vitamin C is a perishable ingredient.

   As for the serum, I’m pretty sure I haven’t seen much difference in my skin. It was a fun packaging experience, very clinical and fresh looking and feeling. I have dark spot corrector that works much better, at a lesser price point. No reactions, burning or breakouts. I did notice if I used moisturizer with the serum, it was too much.

   I did really like the powder face wash. It cleaned beautifully and left my skin in perfect balance.
   It’s much less harsh than the Mild liquid from Clinique. It had a soothing quality but exfoliating. The texture of my skin showed improvement. No fragrance or color, didn’t foam much, very creamy. I just might switch to this. You can purchase it separately on the website. Also much more convenient for traveling since the packet takes up less room in my bag.

   All in all, I’ll skip the serum, and will keep with the powder cleanser.

    Love it. I am a 57 year old with light skin. I have had IPL and hydroquinone for dark spots previously. I use Retin A , Finacea(for Rosacea but also antiaging) I am on my second bottle. The first one, I could not use twice a day every day, just was too irritating along with the Retin A, but my dark spots greatly faded!!!! Took me 2 1/2 weeks to use the 1st bottle, then by 3 weeks, it turned brown meaning the effectiveness has decreased after the initial 2 1/2 weeks. Bought my second bottle after being off of it for 3 weeks and noticing my dark spots re-darkening. I have used Skinceuticals, Paula’s choice and I think Obagi brand Vitamin C. They all did not work as well and the turned dark and became ineffective due to large size bottles, plus were much more expensive, especially when you factor in their waste. I usually do not use Clinique products(or their sister companies) but found their “fresh pour ” concept intriguing. I prefer pharmaceuticals or higher end skin products. This one I will use again and again. It is pricey for being made by Clinique. I think I may try to use it twice a day till they fade, and then go to once a day. The Clinique lady said it could be used once a day and the serum would still be good. My guess is it is good till it turns brown(even if it reduces strength, it is still ok to use up. Not sure if the serum is effective once it changes color
