There are many things that I like about the Farsali Volcanic Elixir, the fact that it is free of fragrance and denatured alcohol are big on my list of skincare no-no’s. The Volcanic Elixir is not so much an elixir as it is a facial oil, because it only contains one ingredient, called tamanu nut kernel oil. This has a typical oil texture that is moisturizing and is probably better used at night at the end of your skincare routine. Using this before makeup proved to be a mistake, and one that I will not repeat twice! People might be surprised that with a name like Volcanic “Elixir” this really is just an oil. If you already have marajula, argan, seaberry,maraculja oils in your cabinet this is not one you need to run out and buy because they are all good oils, but there isn’t much research that demonstrates if one is better than any other.
