I for the most part do not have sensitive skin or any sort of acne on my face. These pads came in my IPSY bag so I figured I’d give them a try. Immediately my face broke out in tiny looking bumps and my face began to swell. For a brand that has “safe for sensitive skin,” and “hypoallergenic” posted right on the packaging you would think they would live up to it. I’ve had this rash for days now, I can’t believe it. I’ve never had a product cause any sort of reaction like this.

I tried these since I received as part of a sample kit from FAB. These pads contain a blend of lactic and glycolic acids, two very effective forms of alpha hydroxy acid (AHA). The lightweight, watery formula steeped into each pad makes it an ideal choice for most skin types (including acne prone). Unfortunately, these pads also have added fragrance in the form of potentially irritating citrus extracts. There are too many truly fragrance-free exfoliants to settle for one that presents a risk of irritation. I also didn’t notice any difference in my skin. I will not repurchase.

I liked this as an exfoliant. I found that it was gentle, but I have pretty sensitive skin so I wouldn’t use it more than 2-3 times a week. I find that it is pretty pricy, and right now I am looking to try some other brands out, but it is decent so I would purchase again. Also, I normally don’t like products by First Aid Beauty is it was refreshing to try something that actually worked.

To me, First Aid Beauty is just a brand I don’t really care for or know much about. Not too many people talk about their products, and it just hasn’t perked my curiosity enough to put their products on my must try list. Anyway, I received a sample of these in a recent haul and ended up pleasantly surprised! They remind me of a milder version of the Dr.Denis Gross wipes minus the 2 steps. To sum it up, these are thin exfoliating circle wipes (think drugstore ones like noxema, clean and clear) that can remove facial makeup thoroughly, and doesn’t leave behind an unpleasant film. No strong, unpleasant, or lingering scent. 1 or 2 pads (if you wear heavy makeup?) is enough. I haven’t tried this long enough to say whether I would find these as a staple in my collection, but I wouldn’t mind keeping this in my gym bag as an alternative to the standard makeup wipe on days where I feel my skin is a little dull and needs a little exfoliation. I know we’re all different when it comes to acid toleration, but I would recommend these for those who have sensitive skin because I had zero irritation with this when I had skin issues. (For reference, I have sensitive acne prone skin with scarring and discoloration issues.) Also lastly, this brand is cruelty free and sold at sephora.

These are good glycolic pads for sensitive skin. I tried the PTR ones and they left me with red irritated skin. This formula has no soothing agents though so I don’t use it every day. The jar packaging is not a problem–I found the pads stay moist and if you turn it upside down it helps resaturate them. One off because it’s pricey.

There’s not too many go to glycolic acid pads on the market. I like these because they seem to keep my face glowy. They’re pretty mild and will help keep breakout at bay. Still experienced breakouts during use, but definitely less than without using them.

I love these little acid pads. Now, to be fair, I also love Pixi Glow Lotion (which is also available in pads for the lazy) and Nip/Fab exfoliating pads, so I’m not really a loyal person. But these have lactic acid, which the others do not! The last lactic acid pad I had was from the Salma Hayek brand available at CVS, and I loved them. Of course, they were discontinued.
I bought these on an impulse at Ulta. I have very little impulse control around skin care products! And even less when I think I’ve found a potential replacement for a long-lost beloved product.
These do have glycolic acid, but lactic acid precedes it on the ingredient list. I do not find them irritating, but I only use them 2 or 3 times a week. I’m gentler with my skin than I used to be. And I like the results! My skin stays clear, and i think it’s better prepared for whatever serum or moisturizer I use after this (lately, Lumene Overnight Recharge). In the morning, my skin looks fresh and feels so smooth.

it smells a bit weird and i am not sure if it does anything but i do feel like after every time i use this(add this in my routine) id breakout and get whiteheads in random places or places i usually would break out? Love their ultra repair moistuizer. I guess not everything is promising from one brand. One can be great and the others they push out so fast can be gimicky and not so great. I just noticed that they have such a great following with their cleanser and moisturizer so they just started to pile on bunch of new products to sell. It doesnt work, theur sunscreen is also crap.

I have very sensitive oily skin with a very tiny blackheads occasional small pimple on the jawline, and sebaceous filaments on the nose. Facial Radiance pads are a mixture of cheap/harsh BHA/Salicylic Acid (like in Clean and Clear) to unblock pores and gentle AHA/Glycolic Acid to increase cell turnover. Research shows that BHA causes skin damage and redness over time so they have added licorice root to try and combat redness. The pads have a rough but not harsh texture that gives a satisfying scrubby feel and helps remove any dead skin or flakes. Also I haven’t seen it yet in other reviews but BHA makes your skin more sensitive to the sun so you must use sun protection when using this to avoid accelerating aging of the skin and stop pimple scars turning purple/brown in the sun and then being visible for months.
Sadly Facial Radiance pads give me the same reaction as the cheaper BHA based Clean and Clear. Both give me irritated tight red looking puffy skin, dry patches and breakouts. I have read research on how Salicylic Acid does damage skin and cause redness over time. Which is why high end pimple creams avoid this cheap ingredient or add healing things like allantoin to combat irritation. My skin responds well to Exuviance pimple cream I find it very normalising and healing.
