I received this in a gift set and I was overall happy with the product. I have an age spot on my face and it made no changes to the appearance of this. The texture and moisturizing features were nice. The smell was not favorable, but not a deal breaker. I probably wouldn’t recommend this product as I didn’t see or feel any changes in my face in comparison to my regular routine of moisturizing with coconut oil. I am a sunblock wearer, minimal makeup wearer and cleanse with non harsh vegan environmentally/animal friendly products.

92$ for this (in Canada) is crazy. I went to Sephora and asked for a sample and I’m glad I have. I think I tried it about three times? I’ve stopped using it and will try again in a few days. I’ll be back to update my review if I notice something different.
First of all, I love the texture. It feels light and powdery (it is NOT a moisturizer, it’s a daily treatment, you have to use it WITH a moisturizer) and it leaves your skin feeling soft.
It also reduced my blemishes and evened my skin stone – in less than 3 days of use, day and night. It made my skin much soften and felt fantastic.
However and here is where the dream ends… it broke me out. I got some pretty big pimples (one or two a day) on my cheekbones, on my forehead… where I rarely break out. And my nose and chin became a feast for blackheads. That said, it could be that I got a sample of a primer at the same time (Hour Glass), or that my tries coincided with a night of drinking and sleeping in a hotel without a chance to wash my skin. Or it could be that it doesn’t react well used with my moisturizer… Either way I will try it again on its own in a few days. The pimples disappeared almost right after I stopped using it (and the primer).
I recommend getting a sample of this from Sephora or elsewhere and try it out for a few days. If it doesn’t break you out, then buy all means go ahead and buy it. It comes with a heavy price tag, but it can work wonders.

Its texture is very weird. It gives you a feeling that your skin don’t absorb it. İt leaves a dull layer on your skin. Therefore you have to wear it at least 20 minutes prior to go to bed. In the morning sometimes you wake up with a renewed face but generally you see a dull and oily face. Maybe it must be worn in small amount. I don’t like its different texture, I hated it. I will not buy it again.

I like the consistency of this – thick but very very easy to spread. It has highly reactive ingredients which is a good thing – you want something that works. It gives a nice powdery finish, so it is OK to use morning and night. BUT, it made me red and hot in the face, so I must be reacting to the ingredients which is unfortunate because I think this is a very fine product. It has retinol, which in Renova doesn’t bother me, but in this, I didn’t react well, or I didn’t react well to the Vitamin C. I don’t know which, but I really wanted to like this and tolerate this. My skin evenutally got quite itchy, and the redness and burning did not go away until I washed everything off and slept well. Whew! But I do believe it is worth a try for those looking for a refining treatment cream. This is not a moisturizer. I think this is fantastic for oily and combination skins, but sensitive skins beware.

This is not a moisturizer. No, this is a treatment. This treatment is not to be used with other intensive treatments like retinol and such. No, this is pretty much all you need after you tone and before you moisturize. Now, with that said…
I LOVE this product (and I don’t even like Murad). I’ve used everything. Retin-A, hydroquinone (including Murad’s Lighten and Brighten), AHA’s, BHA’s, microbeads; you name it, I’ve tried it. At long last I’ve found this stuff and it really works. I use this after my Lush ‘Dark Angels’ cleanser and my Burt’s Bees Tomato Toner day and night and my blemishes disappear, my post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation diminishes, and my skin looks bright, even, and poreless.
I am a girl with some seriously active sebaceous glands, so my skin can lean towards oily and dull. My pores are ALWAYS clogged, in spite of my love (and respect, mind you) for exfoliants. Furthermore, due to my deeper olive/butterscotch complexion, I am terribly prone to hyperpigmentation. Any little zit that pops up leaves a bruise colored spot in it’s wake that can take months to clear without treatment. But this, the god of all renewing complexes, this really works. No lie. I don’t care what it costs…and I’m broke. Thank you, Murad. Thank you.

I’ve only been using this product a few days and wanted to quickly add a great immediate benefit I have not yet seen noted here. This stuff smooths my 40 year old crows feet instantly AND they stay smoothed for hours! The powdery finish mentioned by others appears to fill in and fog out the lines. I have very youthful looking skin, with my eyes being the only culprit. I love the effect.
I too am getting deep cyst like breakouts, which I never get. The bumps are painful and a bit more red than my typical breakouts, but with pro-active and Natura Bisse Oxygenating Cream, they are almost gone overnight and none of them have come to a head or become messy or flaky. I know this is a positive clearing process more than a bad reaction to the product and I will stick with this cream in hopes of seeing the full vitamin c effect. I’ll be back to update in a couple weeks and again at a couple months.

Love this product! It does have a powdery finish, but I have found that it works best with a damp face. I splash my face with a small amount of water; the water really improves the application and absorption on my skin. This has been very effective in fading marks from acne and ingrown hairs in a short amount of time.

well, so i just turned 21 this year, but i’ve been having acne problems, and after a while my face had many scars from the acne. but after using this product, my face cleared up, so far i’ve experienced no more break out, and my scar is slowly clearing up too. i’m very happy with it, but too bad this is SO expensive!

This stuff has worked for me–for what I wanted it to do. This year (I’m 31) I realized *finally* the damage sun does to my skin and that sun exposure is no longer just making me a pretty tan, but is causing hyperpigmentation–large blotchy “freckles” on my cheeks and nose, and a large brown splotch over my upper lip, darkness around my mouth in general. So, I’m doing the sunscreen thing everyday now, but was anxious to lessen the hyperpigmentation–heavy foundation and concealer just won’t last on my face in the heat of the summer here. So, I researched a bit and landed on the Murad Environmental Shield products to try. I started off using the Daily Renewal Complex every other day only–I have redness and easily irritated skin. The serum is applied to a damp face after cleansing and it DOES sting a bit for about a minute. Not really enough to cause discomfort. Three weeks later, I am hunting for the places on my face I was applying extra concealer to. (Still faintly there, but MUFE F&B is covering without additional concealer–was using MUFE Full Cover). I am so pleased-especially since I thought it might take a really long time for ME to see results, using only every other day. The past few nights I have been able to apply the serum nightly–I’ve built up a tolerance??
I can honestly say this serum does not irritate my redness anymore than anything else. (My face is red from the light friction of a soft washcloth). Using the serum at night, my skin is as “calm” as it ever is by morning.
This stuff is expensive, so I’m hoping with vigilant sun protection I won’t need this again. And, since I’ve seen recipes for homemade Vitamin C serums, I might try that before purchasing this again. BUT, if I ever have the HP problem again and I need it gone FAST, I would buy this again with no hesitation.

I love this treatment. I love this entire line. I have always picked and choosed products from different lines as I didn’t like each element and frankly didn’t think that they needed to work in conjuction with one another, but I totally am hooked on this entire line. I’ve done drank the kool-aid.
This treatment came with the kit that I picked up. Its expensive as hell, but you barely need to use any of it. It has such good slip that it spreads really easily and you don’t need to use a lot of it. It goes on soft and has a powdery finish which feels really nice. My skin tone, which was splotchy and freckley and uneven has evened out much to my surprise. The redness is gone and the texture is baby bottom soft. In fact, I’ve stopped using foundation and don’t have to powder throughout the day anymore, its amazing. Something in the line did make me breakout with 1 small red zit and a deep cystic like thing that didn’t come to a head, but that was soon gone and now its all smooth, beautiful skin.
I would highly recomend this to others…I’ve found my HG skincare line!
