Replenix makes two similar versions of this product: Restorative Nighttime Bio-Therapy (for all skin types) and ENRICHED Nighttime Bio-Therapy (for dry skin). This review is for the ENRICHED version.
First of all this product comes in fantastic packaging, it’s a jar with a pump top inside. One push down and it dispenses the perfect amount of product to cover your face. No fingers in the jar so it keeps the contents sanitary. The product itself is loaded with all the key ingredients you want – ceramides, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, peptides, green tea and caffeine. The cream absorbs easily and is not greasy or heavy. But for my dry skin I don’t feel it’s moisturizing enough on it’s own, despite the fact that it’s “Enriched” for dryer skin (less 1 lippie for that). So when I use it I let it absorb for about 20 minutes and then apply a heavier moisturizer on top before I go to sleep. So to me it’s more like a nighttime “serum” that I layer under my heavier cream. That said it does wonders to calm my skin and I wake up to refreshed looking skin.
My dermatologist also recommended that I use this product together with my Retin-A .05% which I use about twice a week. I cleanse and apply the Bio-Therapy cream, wait about 30 mins, then apply the Retin-A on top. The ingredients supposedly work well with the Retin-A to both enhance absorption and reduce flaking and peeling.
