   I like this product in every way except for one: it can be veryyyyy drying. Now, I bought this in hoping of get rid of some suspected fungal acne I had been getting due to heat and sweat. I read somewhere that sulfur is great for normal and fungal acne. For someone living outside of the US, this was very easy to find on iHerb. I bought the larger jar, which was still quite cheap considering that there is an even smaller one available.

   I use this as a spot treatment. It has a very thick consistency, similar to how Vaseline feels. It works really well at reducing inflammation on those really large, painful pimples. Of course, the larger the zit, the longer it takes. On my largest pimples, I would say this takes a couple of days of usage to see a significant reduction in size. Often I find this helps draw out the white head from a pimple too.

   The only thing I have to be careful of is overapplying it on my dry prone areas like my chin, which is annoying because sometimes this is where I get my most inflamed acne. In this case, I just have to be very vigilant and watch out for pimples at their earliest stage where they aren’t as huge yet, then I can apply this ointment and nip it in the bud early. Usually, that seems to work and if the pimple does surface, it will come out smaller than anticipated.

   This was a true miracle for me. Used alone and with green clay mask (A. Vogel, mixed in a drop of tea tree oil, squalane) for 2 days in a row, then one day gap before using again..

   It killed my recurring whiteheads and spots and irritation. Skin clear 4 days later. No burning tingling sensation. No irritation. Skin feels much calmer as well as looking entirely clear (besides scarring).

   I can’t say whether the A Vogel green clay did it, Sulfur, or the combination, but this combination is not to be messed with! Super DUPER

   God send! This has made a MASSIVE difference to seborrheic dermatitis patches I’ve had for years on my eyebrows, sides of nose and behind my ears. I basically get these horrid flaky patches that I have to keep peeling off with tweezers and don’t respond to anything I’ve thrown at them, including doctors meds, D.H Hair Oil which helps slightly and TO Multi peptide hair serum which I would never have thought of trying if I hadn’t seen a review of someone who swore by it.

   If you haven’t used Sulfur before be warned – it stinks! But it works! I don’t see any results on acne using this and I’ve both spot applied it for up to 15 minutes and left on overnight – even though I know you’re not supposed to, Sulfur just generally doesn’t do much for my hormonal acne unless combined with other ingredients. But on the patches I just dab a tiny bit on the areas about 10-15 minutes before showering and let it do its thing before it’s washed off. It definitely isn’t a one-time cure, I do need to keep using it every other day to keep the condition under control as I’ve come to realize. Also be aware it does make the situation very slightly worse in the first few days of applying before making it better. But hang on in there it will get better!

   Without a doubt this tub of ointment will turn bad long before I ever finish the product up as I need to use so little of it. Super affordable too, I got mine for something like $5, however I know it’s not available in other countries such as Europe, unless you pay tons on shipping. If you find that’s the case try any Sulfur ointment (I have and there’s very little difference between them) IF it’s only going to be in contact with your skin for up to 10 minutes or so. If you plan on leaving on your skin longer then it’s worth paying the shipping for this as the ingredients list is super simple with very little chance of being acnegenic, compared to many other Sulfur creams and ointments.

   So glad I found this by pure chance and no longer have to use Hydrocortisone and other doctor prescribed medications.

   This is just truly bizarre. I have been using salicylic acid, AHAs, niacinamide and Retin A and still deal with acne on my chin. I typically have at least five zits at a time. I bought this stuff a month ago and I haven’t had ONE zit since. It is BIZARRE. I just wash my face, slather this on in a thin layer, and leave it on for five to ten minutes and rinse, that is it.

   I will use this until the end of time. It is cheap and effective at treating acne, fungal acne, and rosacea. I use as directed and follow up with a super gentle and basic routine and the results I have gotten are very good. It reduces redness, swelling, and active acne, plus gently exfoliates.
   Yes, it stinks, and gets stinkier when water touches it. Who cares: smell like eggs, have healthy skin. This is a gift.

   I was very skeptical about this, but if you have fungal or cystic acne it’s really worth a try given the low cost. It’s made a huge difference for me. If I see a zit appearing, I use this every day, leaving it on for 30 minutes or so, and always find that it dissipates or completely disappears in about a day. I don’t notice a sulfur smell to mine but I had it for almost a year before trying it, and I’ve already bought another so I won’t run out. I was initially worried that the weird creamy texture would cause breakouts but that definitely has not been the case for me.

   There are other products out there that contain sulfur as a key ingredient (Queen Helene Mint Julep mask, some bar soaps, etc), but this has a high concentration and few other potentially problematic ingredients and is simple to use.

   Cons:
   I hate the unsanitary tub packaging and wish it came in a squeeze tube.

   This is a premixed formula of a compound my grandmothers used to whip up in their kitchens for almost anything that ails your skin, from acne to eczema to poison ivy.

   If you are using this for acne, expect mixed results. This seems to work best on those big nasty yellow zits that have a lot of gunk in them, or on acne caused by skin irritation (every male in my family swears by “sulfur and cream” for acne caused by shaving). For the right kind of zit or zits, it will cut down the lifespan dramatically.

   Unfortunately sulfur doesn’t seem to do much to prevent acne, so it’s best used as a spot treatment or as a mask on larger areas of irritated skin. Even if it doesn’t prevent breakouts, it’s a lifesaver if you’re like me and most of my family, and cannot use anything with benzoyl peroxide but find that salicylic acid just doesn’t clear up acne or skin irritations on its own.

   this dont do anything at all. i apply it on cyst and clogged pores. it doesnt do anything beside making 1-2 clogged pores inflamed so it become a cyst. applied it a few times already, starting from 20min the first time to 5hrs the last time.

   I have combo skin, acne prone (virtually every type, incl cystic). This product has a sticky consistency and that typical rotten egg smell of sulfur.

   I must admit the first time I used it, I tried it overnight. The pimple turned a dark color, and there has been a permanent discolouration there for a few months now. So I strongly suggest caution if using this for a long period of time. Plus it’s sticky and may not feel comfortable on the face – or smearing it on a pillow.

   I have since changed this to 10-20mins at a time. It causes a little bit of skin dryness but nothing moisturiser can’t fix. Just make sure to wash it off properly, the residual smell seems to cling. I use this for spot treatment. If I have a general face breakout like I am now – then I use it as a mask.

   Anyway, to be completely honest I”m not entirely convinced this actually works or whether it is the natural life cycle of my pimples to recede. I have never had the experience of applying this – and have the pimple disappear the next day, or the day after that. For hygiene purposes, if I’m doing spot treatment, I use a cotton swab to pick up the product and not my fingers.

   It’s definitely affordable, I bought this for ?7 off Amazon. And it seems to be effective for some people. It’s worthwhile giving it a try, just be careful to trial a shorter time frame first before trying this overnight. Sounds obvious, but it really sucks having a permanent mark on your face just from acne cream. 🙁

   Addit: 7/8: I’ve been using this as a mask for 4 consecutive days for 20-30mins each time. For the past 2 days I have broken out in 4 more acne! The 3rd day, noticed approx 20 new acne! OMG The ones that were already on my face are getting slightly smaller – but not by much.

    This product really did not impress me! I will continue to use my Bye Bye Blemish Spot Treatment! Now that stuff is effective!
