PROS:
-It heals an inflamed pimple in just a few hours
-The tube is small, you can take it anywhere in your purse
CONS:
-It is expensive for the amount of product you get
-Does not cover pimples (you can always buy the tinted version)
-The smell is strong
-The product is sticky
-After it heals your pimple, it leaves the skin around it flaky and dry

So, I purchased the other products for clear skin in this range, so the cleanser and toner and moisturiser. I cannot know for sure which worked for my skin the best, but I’m sure it wasn’t this. It did reduce spots but not get rid of them. Also I used it quite quickly and it’s quite expensive for a small tube.

So, I’m on my second tube.
On the first trial, I thought that this is too soft for my acne-prone skin. It didn’t work very well on drying out my pimples (especially those period pimples). But I realized that I have to cleanse my skin and moisturize it. I started to make my own skincare routine, from cleansing to moisturizing, all with acne treatment (I swear that the organic tea tree oil works like amazing). I finished it off with this sebamed gel. Now I see positive changes and I bought second tube because I now trust this product.

Please note: I am reviewing on the coloured anti-pimple cream, not the anti-pimple gel.
This thing works wonders for me. The colour is blendable with my skin tone so it makes a very good concealer that is able to hide my pimple scars. On top of that, it helps to dry out the scars so that it peels off and my face becomes scar-free. It also dries out any new pimples/blemishes forming. I used to dab body shop’s tea tree oil to make my pimples shrink, but I stopped buying that coz its too expensive. This works as good as the tbs tea tree oil!
This is now my 3-in-1 concealer, spot corrector and pimple banisher.

I am totally disappointed with this product! exactly, with sebamed acne care product line. i have been using this for 2months along with cleansing foam, yes that toner too and clear face care gel. they’re so pricey and i wish they will make my face “clear” without any breakouts again. I was so happy it really worked after 2-3weeks used it. But, a wish is just a wish, now, the pimples are coming back~ breakouts again. would not repurchase it!

I found this product really sticky when applying it on. Obviously that’s because it’s a gel product, but it was really hard to put it on nice and evenly. It wasn’t a “wow” product for me, and it didn’t really made the pimples go away that much. I didn’t think it was anything special with this product really, it didn’t do the job that good enough sadly.

Causes my skin to breakout with the white acne. 🙁

I’ve been using it for years now. Unlike Neutrogena, Garnier and Clean & Clear on the spot gels, Sebamed gel does not irritate the skin around the spot, it is just the spot that gets treated. Barely noticeable. Also, works well if you apply it right after your pimple has popped, so the area heals quickly.

I’m rating this product based on what it claims to be.
It’s not meant for moderate or severe acne, but then again, OTC products rarely are! If you really must use an OTC product that’s harsher then make sure it contains benzoyle peroxyde. Otherwise, Sebamed anti – pimple gel is for you. Unlike peroxyde benzoyle, this will NOT dry your skin, as long as you follow the prescribed instructions.
Oh, and I absolutely love the smell (like most sebamed products) it just smells so clean.

I have the clear gel which is called spot control gel. Its got the exact ingredients as the reviwer listed below, but maybe cos I bought it in Asia, the name is different.
I wanted a gel for the AM to use under makeup and after reading the blurb on the website- ph5.5, no oils and emulsifiers, I added it to my cart.
The gel kind of leaves a sticky residue on the face and even though theres parfum, it is not detectable. I’ve been using it every morning but it seems as though it irritates my skin slightly, as I have some red tiny bumps around the area which I applied the gel. It also doesnt do much for my acne. The pimples are still aggressive and red. And for that reason, I would not repurchase it even if the price is low
