So i received this for Christmas as i was ranting and raving to my boyfriend about how much i wanted it after seeing such rave reviews. I saw in reviews about the ingredients it contains which was abit of a worry, but i thought what the heck, if it works like all these people are saying then I’m going to give it a try!
Well what a disappointment. I’ve been using this just over a month now AM and PM just like it states on the bottle and I’ve seen NO difference whatsoever. If anything its actually made spots worse and my skin flareup with redness.
Also, layed in bed the other night about half an hour after putting the serum on and my boyfriend said ‘whats that?’ i asked ‘whats what?’ for him to reply ‘your skins all flakey’. When i went to check in the mirror the serum had actually started peeling off and just gone really dry and disgusting.
Now i know this is a really long and boring review, so im just going to end it on this note. If you want to waste £44-£70 then go buy this serum. But theres a hell of a lot better out there for a much cheaper price and probably a bigger bottle too. Do your research first.

I have mixed feelings about this serum.
On the one hand, my skin has magically cleared up since I’ve started using it. I’ve also noticed that if I become less diligent with it, my chin (my trouble area) breaks out again. So I guess it’s really this product that has been keeping my acne at bay!
On the other hand, since I’ve been using it, my make-up seems to “sit” on my skin more than it used to. I’ve never really had issues with dry skin, but now it seems my concealer becomes somewhat flakey- it just doesn’t sink in as it once did! (Yes, I do put moisturizer on after applying the serum.)
Not to mention the ridiculous price of this tiny little bottle. I did a double take when seeing it in real life, as opposed to on the internet; didn’t expect it to be THAT small. BUT a little does go a long way, especially now that I only use it at night to avoid that dryness throughout the day.
If you’ve got some cash to burn, and you’re willing to give it a chance; do it. But (judging from the other reviews) this has the potential to be somewhat of a hit-or-miss depending on your skin type. It worked for me, but has a side-effect. So. Yeah.

I’m afraid I’m a lone wolf here as this gets rave reviews – I’m giving this 2 lippies due to my concern over the ingredients in this serum. This is an overpriced serum for the ingredients in this products, IMO you are paying for the name. This only contains .5% Salicylic Acid which is a very low concentration of the active ingredient to produce noticeable improvement.
I tried this for 2 weeks and so zero improvement in my skin, in fact the bumps on my forehead were getting worse. As soon as I discontinued use, my skin started to improve.
Reading the ingredients, I saw a few that caused me to be concerned: Algae Extract!! Which is a 5 on the comedogenic scale! Fragrance (Parfum) Limonene, Linalool which are known irritants as well.
I can’t justify the cost for these ingredients and low concentration of salicylic acid. There are better BHA serums out there with better ingredients, at least 1% Salicylic Acid at a lesser cost. However, it does seem to get rave reviews, but beware of the Algae Extract in here if you are very breakout prone!!
From Beautypedia:
Pros:
Contains salicylic acid formulated within an effective pH range.
Silky, smoothing matte finish makes pores look smaller (at least for a little while).
Cons:
Contains ingredients known to be irritating, including witch hazel and fragrance chemicals such as limonene.
Not likely to be all that effective unless you have really mild breakouts.
Surprisingly expensive for what you get.
