I received the charcoal scrub in an Ipsy bag. Long story short, this stuff is from Hell. HATE it. It did absolutely nothing but sting my face and make my skin as red as a cherry. Not to mention the packaging is beyond stupid. Hello, why would you put a bunch of loose salt in a jar where it can spill and you can’t control how much you’re using? Ugh. And the most disappointing part is that through all this suffering my blackheads remained on my nose. Complete BS! The only pro is I didn’t have to pay for this crap.

Got this in an Ipsy bag, I think. I would have been better off rubbing my face with salt. It IS salt. It tasted salty. I would mix in a bit with my everyday shower face cleanser to just use it because I can’t just throw something away. I’m cheap like that. I think it’s an original concept but if I want scrub, I’ll just like – wait for it – buy a scrub. Already together with a cleanser. In one bottle.

Okay, I have been using this for close for about two months.
My skin: pale olive, combination, sensitive, acne prone (i.e. moderate to moderately severe acne).
Insurance changed and I couldn’t afford acne meds for a while. For several months my skin was fine with a little bp, and silk natural’s superserum. Late summer I broke out horribly and tried Dan Kern’s Regimen, only to continue to break out as well as have to stop using it every few weeks because my face would become red, hot, and itchy. After this happened a few times, I decided to try clarisea. Originally I did not use it enough, then I realized that jojoba oil and I don’t agree. However, I had been using this for several weeks when I was finally able to see my derm again. During that time I still broke out, and strange tiny little bumps developed on my forehead and around my nose. This didn’t do the trick for my face. However, I used this and sulfur soap for my body, and my chest which was soaked more than my shoulders is clear, while my shoulders sometimes get a few pimples. This might work for some, but didn’t work for my facial acne.
