Since I have so many cosmetics and skincare products, I’ve decided to rate only the ones I love. Thos, is a miracle for me. Breakouts since…2 years ago. Ongoing issue. Tried to fix. Used Avene for the past 6 or so months as it was the only stuff not aggravating my skin further. The Philosophy C powder was my hope for taking down the scarring.
Was still breaking out, mind. Just less.
Was convinced this was a terrible purchase but kept gravitating towards it till I gave in.
This took less than a week to calm down and settle my skin. No more horror. Soothed. Effect noticeable same day. Very little needed per day to get the skin moisturized. Stopped using the Avene apart from cleanser. No pimples or stinging pain.

This is my all time fave oil. I have tried Drunken Elephant and the new Neutrogenea wrinkle repair treatment oil and I really think Dr, Haushka day oil is the best. I use it at night after cleansing and follow with Dr. Haushka regenerative day cream. Yes it says it is day oil and cream, but the combination works well at night for me.

It’s a nice face oil, but it doesn’t do what it says. I have oily skin, and have tried mixing it with moisturizer, then layered it with a serum, and even used it directly on my clean face. I have used it on makeup-free days, but also under my tinted moisturizer. It made me shine every time- SO MUCH! It just won’t sink into my skin. It just sits there and whenever I run a finger on my face, it’s greasy, like sebum, except it’s coming from a bottle. My makeup ended up looking so patchy and uneven that I had to wash my face two hours after applying it. I have since accepted that oils just weren’t for me in the daytime, so to make the most of it, and because I don’t like getting rid of things I buy, I now apply it at night from time to time, on top of my serum + moisturizer, for extra hydration. If your skin is oily, simply stay away from oil. It’s just not true that oil+ natural oils = no oil.
EDIT: Changed my review after using it on WET SKIN as advised by Tom Newton + readers of Into The Gloss. The water factor is a game changer. After cleaning my face, I sprayed some bamboo water on my face and applied a few drops directly on it, and massaged it well into the skin, let it dry. It wasn’t at all oily and kept me shine-free and moisturized.

I love, love, love this product. When I moved to a new city, everything messed up my skin. I had these huge zits that suddenly flared up into full blown cystic acne on every inch of my face. I had never had problem skin before. I had a bit of a bad skin phase for a year when I was around 15 but it settled in a few months and I never had zits again till after I turned 32. Nothing worked anymore, my skin got worse and worse and after 5 years of trial and error with many products, I lost all faith of ever getting back my clear skin. Till a product review on youtube introduced me to Dr. Hauschka products. I bought the oily, impure skin care kit for around 30 pounds from a website called http://www.feelunique.com to try it out. I used the products till for some reason, I couldn’t get products delivered to my address from the same website. Once I left using these products after a months my skin went back to how it was before. But after coming to Germany last year, I find these products everywhere, since its a German brand. Ive religiously started using the oil once again and I can’t sing enough praises
My favorite products in the range are the clarifying toner and the clarifying day oil. The toner is a tad expensive at 20 Euros for the full size so I prefer the cheaper but equally good AOK toner priced at around 3 euros. But I will never compromise with this oil. I did not face any problems eliminating the toner but I will never eliminate the oil from my regimen. When in India, the toner and clarifying oil, together, cleared up my skin in a matter of a few months. (I did not have the AOK toner in India so I continued to use the Clarifying toner there, hope I’m not confusing here)
You spritz the toner after washing your face, then while its still damp, apply a tiny bit of the oil in the “press and roll” motion.
Here’s the link for the application:
Using this motion, ensures that the oil sinks into your skin and you don’t create a abrasive motion by rubbing. While Dr. Hauschka does not advise using too many products at night, I use this three drops of the oil at night and it blitzes my occasional cystic acne in a few days, the redness reduces overnight and so does the pain. I also use one drop with my moisturizer daily. You can also mix a drop or two with your foundation for a smoother application. Also works great for me as a spot treatment lately since I have just one or two cystic bumps in a month at most. It has a dry oil type of texture and absorbs quite well in a few minutes.
The sample size for 5 euros has lasted me about 14 months so I usually avoid buying the bigger one. The best part about these products is that they are natural so I have less worries about the ingredients. I love how it smells too. I highly recommend it!!!
