If it is not completely fresh (cream color), it turns brown and “gritty”. A steep price to pay ($115.00) when you have to wash the grit off after applying.

I am about to purchase my second bottle of this stuff, I think it makes a real difference to my combination, sometimes sensitive, regularly dehydrated skin.
I use it as part of a glycolic wash, Bioclear glycolic goo (for want of a better word), OK serum, and moisturiser regime.
I add in alternative products as and whe, for example retinol creams and find the results to be good.
I’m 38 and on drying meds which have effected my skin, I used to have pretty good skin so seeing this diminish was upsetting, plus; I had a glycolic peel some years back that thinned the hell out of my skin, it was way to strong, could’ve sued SKN Clinic for that blunder. I switched to Environ, which was way way too harsh, then got introduced to the Jan Marini line; I’ve never looked back. I have the odd bad skin day (usually dull and dehydrated) but overall my skin looks plumped up and fresh especially with makeup on.
I think over all this is an essential product for me, I had redness at first; but that subsided as I got used to it. Bottle has lasted me 5 months with morning and nightly use.

Ugh, I don’t like this stuff. It was recommended to me by an esthetician along with Jan Marini’s 10% bp. Oddly enough, I actually found the 10% bp less irritating than this stuff. I used this for about a month every morning and night and I feel like it gave me orange peel skin for a while (possibly due to irritation, or maybe all that vitamin c just made my skin grow too unevenly, too fast?).
Anyways, this orange peel texture made me believe that I had to keep using it. I mean, my skin seemed to be looking rougher and rougher and here was the answer to all my prayers. The finish it gives is very nice (that’s why I’ve given it a 2), but it seemed to enlarge and inflame my pores over time to the point that all I saw when I looked in the mirror was billions of gigantic craters staring back at me. I will never forget the day I finally realized it….I run the risk of sounding like I was on some kind of acid trip, but I looked in the mirror and I swear my pores: they were like little oily mouths, and they were screaming at me to wash my face; they wanted me get this crap off. Ever since I stopped using it my skin has looked SO MUCH better! I think maybe the roughness I was seeing was inflammation from irritation. I would be careful about using this stuff–read Paula Begoun’s review on it if you don’t believe me (apparently, the ingredients in this stuff might actually have the potential to damage your skin).

I love c-esta and always come back to it. I’ve probably bought six bottles over the years. I have tried other vitamin c products to see if I could find something better but for me, nope, this is the one. c-esta serum along with the bioglycolic lotion just works perfectly for me. My skin looks great.

I’ve used this one day and night for three days. (started with once a day). It smells sort of yukky out of the bottle, but on the skin, you’ll get used to it. I use around 3 drops.
It seems to even out my skin. I’ve got mild rosacea, and haven’t reacted to this one negatively so far.
Update: I don’t get what this is doing to my skin. It doesn’t feel changed at all, and I’ve heard the vit. C breaks down so fast that you’re spending all the money for a 1 week effect. Going to try making my own vit. C serum from now on.

I saw IMMEDIATE results from this C serum after 2 days. My face was firmer, smoother (like glass) with a glow. Wow – very impressive. I was excited to try Jan Marini Products so I ordered this along with the Transformation Serum and the Age Intervention Face Serum. This product is my favorite out of the 3.
The good results stayed consistent (I esp. like this layered over an acid product like Avon Anew or Natura Bisse Glycoface). I enjoy the pina colada scent. However after only 2 months of use, the rest of the serum changed texture and was almost impossible to get out of the bottle. The bottle is very frustrating. I am glad that it seems sanitary however the serum does not really go into the dropper style so I waste a lot of time trying to get the serum out.
As much as I like this product, this product is extremely expensive in that it only lasts 2 months (I never had a product that lasted less than 6 months in a 1 oz bottle). I will stick to Perricone’s AM High Potency Amine Face Lift (2 oz for $95) which combines vitamin C with DMAE. My face looks airbrushed, firm and bright. Other vitamin C products I have tried: DHC Vitamin C Essence (lovely but just not as effective as Perricone or J Marini), Awake Vitamin C Essence (not as effective), Derma E’s Ester-C Serum with E (horrific texture that streaked on the face).
I am Korean, 43 years old (people guess I am 30 – 33). I have combination skin (dry in winter, slightly oily in summer however very prone to plugged pores and occasional breakouts). I use: Natura Bisse, Perricone, Jurlique, Jan Marini, Cosmedicine, DHC Olive Oil Cleanser, and MD Forte Cleanser II & III.

One of my favorites in JM line. I used Skinceutical’s CE Ferulic but that left orange tint and acne on my face, also it’s price locally is almost twice as much as US. I discovered c-esta through the support of many kind fellow mua-ers.
I use this serum in the AM without any moisturizer as it is already ‘sufficiently’ moisturizing. My face is brighter but what I really love about this serum is its ability to moisturize the eye area- may sting a bit if you are not careful but after two weeks I find that my fine lines disappear even when I omit Sisleya e/c at night (and replace it with an eye gel instead as it is so much lighter). This is a highly versatile serum. I love the pina colada smell and I do not care about the container not being airtight as I experience it working eventhough. I love it.

I have been using JM’s line for 8 years now and I just love all her products. This serum is my latest addition since I need firmer skin and to evenout some slight pigmentation which creeps up slowly. It has only been 2 days (am and pm) and I love it.
My makeup stays on longer and I find my t-zone less oily. Strongly recommended. This is my second product from the C-ESTA range, my first is the Perfection Foundation.

This is one of my favorites of Jan Marini’s.
I’ve been using the Cserum for about 7 years now. I stopped for a couple of years due to my esthetician recommending another C.
I noticed my skin was oily and my nasolabial fold came back during that time. I went back to Jan Marini Cserum and love it.
It tighted my fine lines and wrinkles and has helped with my sun damage on my face.
