While I love Korean beauty products this one is completely overrated in my opinion. The pads are meant to gently provide a physical and chemical exfoliation. For me they do absolutely nothing and not only that they are so heavily fragranced what is the point ?! I would rather stick to basic acids that you can get from The Ordinary that are much cheaper and more effective. Will not repurchase.

I have dry combination skin and now that it’s winter I need to pay extra attention to my skin, because it tends to get flaky. Since this product has been hyped up so much, I decided to give this a go and I have been quite enjoying it ever since.
It does have a strong grape scent, but other than that I like the gentle exfoliation I get from this product.
My skin feels and looks definitely a lot softer and smoother.
As far the wrinkle reducing is concerned I haven’t noticed anything, but then again luckily I don’t have any major wrinkles.
I can recommend this product if you are into gentle exfoliation like I am.

I’m really surprised this product doesn’t have better reviews. For some background, I have combination skin, and in the past I haven’t tolerated chemical exfoliants very well, but a couple months ago I decided to give them another shot. I stopped using my Clarisonic a month ago, and I’ve been using the MUAC Mandelic 25% Peel once a week since then. Since I can’t use the mandelic peel very frequently, though, I wanted a much milder chemical exfoliant to use in between peels to keep my dry, flaky winter skin smooth.
I’ve been using the Neogen Gauze Peeling Wine pads for a week. Usually it takes me longer to write a review, but I couldn’t wait because the effects have been so impressive (and I will update and have updated reviews when my opinion on a product changes). Before I used the pads on the first night, my skin was pretty dry, uneven, and dull. I have PIH on my cheeks from old acne that tends to hang around for quite a while. My nose tends to flake and peel horribly every few weeks, and it was taking on the leathery look that tells me it’s about to act up again. But the evening after I used the pads the first time, I noticed that the flakiness had subsided (in the past if my nose looks like it’s going to start flaking, it’s extremely rare that I can do anything to stave it off and I have to just wait it out). My skin looked subtly brighter. Best of all I didn’t experience any of the bad side effects I usually get from chemical exfoliants. So far, so good.
The directions say to use the pads twice a week. But the following night I couldn’t resist and went for them again. And the next night. And the next night. I used it four or five nights in a row this week. I have had no issues tolerating the pads *at all*. My skin hasn’t looked or felt drier or over-exfoliated – on the contrary. The positive effects to my skin have only accumulated, the PIH has faded, skin has looked brighter and healthier – glowy. While my daily makeup routine usually entails applying a medium coverage BB cream all over my face with a sponge, yesterday and the day before I just applied it with a concealer brush to a few problem areas. I didn’t feel like I needed it all over. I’m also having to fight the urge to touch my skin because it feels so smooth.
So this is a rare skincare rave from me. I thought I would probably need to work myself up to harsher, higher percentage chemical exfoliants before I would start seeing results like this, so color me impressed. The price isn’t terrible but not thrifty either, about $35 CAD for 30 pads on Amazon.ca (ETA: You can find them for about $10 cheaper on eBay with free shipping). To save money I’d rather not keep using the pads every day, so hopefully I will have the patience and self control to get down to every 2 or 3 days.
Let me reiterate that I was very inexperienced with chemical exfoliants before trying these pads. I started using the 25% Mandelic peel a month ago and have had to really ease myself into them. I’ve even had trouble with Stridex pads in the past. Before starting to try out the Mandelic peel, I used a Clarisonic as my sole exfoliant (albeit every day). Basically, I really can’t speak to how impressed those of you with experience with higher strength peels and pads will be. But for others like me who are just starting out or who have had trouble tolerating chemical exfoliants in the past, definitely try these.
ETA: I was told I was glowing by a colleague and asked what I was doing differently this week, just a few days after I wrote this review. It confirmed for me that the effects I’m seeing aren’t placebo.
ETA2: Updating over a year after I posted this review to say that while I’m no longer using the Mandelic peel, I’m still using these pads on a daily basis as my sole exfoliant, and I still love them. They’re a bit pricey for daily use, so I started cutting them in half with fabric scissors to be able to use them every day for half the price. There is a lot of product in one pad so I find this is roughly as effective as long as I keep up regular use.
If I do skip using them for a few days and need extra exfoliation, I will sometimes leave the product on my skin for a minute or two before rinsing (rather than rinsing immediately after application).

It has a very nice light scent, and gauze has 2 sides with different textures, great for sensitive skin and those who want some abrasion. The formula is very gentle, especially for everyday use. I found my skin very soft and glowy right after and the morning after.
In the evening I will cleanse my skin and rub the gauze side of the pad all over my face, wait 3-4 minutes (usually brush my teeth during this time) and after I will rub the soft side of the pad again all over my face then proceed to wash my face with warm water. I found that my skin was softer with warm water compared to the cool water.
I have used other chemical peels and this one is definitely on the more mild side and its really good for people with sensitive skin. I do have acne scars and sun spots and while this is a great chemical peel, Its not strong for me personally.
I have repurchase the same neogen bio-peel but the lemon one instead of wine due to the brightening agents the lemon one contains.

I don’t really do exfoliating regularly, but I tried this after reading so many recommendations to do exfoliation regularly. This smells lovely, is pretty gentle on my skin, and leaves my skin soft and clean. There is no dry tight feeling after. I use this once a week only at most coz my skin can get pretty dry if I do it more often. This is really nice and also very reasonably priced.

It seems it is better to use peel pads instead of an exfoliator so I could not wait to try this and… I love it. My dry, mature skin loves it. My skin looks clean, smooth and radiant. The lactic acid really clean out the pores. It works so much better than an exfoliator and I have tried many high end brands. I use this 3-4 times a week. Highly recommend and I will definitely buy again.

I’ve heard so many good reviews about this product. There were reviews and bloggers who mentioned that this was a gentle exfoliator. My friend got the wine one while I got the green tea one. Stay clear of this product if you have sensitive skin. I broke out in rashes after using this once while my friend also found it too strong for her skin. Giving my tub to a friend who has less sensitive skin.
Packaging: it’s pretty bulky and I’ve heard of people who received their tub cracked.
For something more gentle, try Dr G’s brightening peeling gel. That worked out much better for me.

I really like these, I’ve jumped on the Korean Skincare bandwagon and it has really helped my acne prone combination/oily skin. This is a very gentle manual and chemical exfoliator and if you use it properly (not rubbing too abrasively on both sides and rinsing it off) and follow up with a toner, it is really lovely. It has a nice scent and leaves my skin feeling very soft. The packaging looks cool but I wish it was not as clear or in a jar, or at least it was in an opaque coloured jar because I don’t know of the effect of sunlight the packaging will have on the product. I do store it in a cool dry place not in sunlight but it is still something I think of.

These are nicely designed exfoliating pads which are quite gentle. I am however a seasoned acid user so this is very weak on the scale, hence I would recommend for sensitive skin types. Not drying, pleasant mild fragrance, quick dry down, I can’t really fault this except for that personally, this doesn’t represent value for money and I’m better off using something stronger, 2x a week. Give these a go if you are keen, you won’t be disappointed except for that these are weak.

I started using these a few weeks ago and I’m pretty happy with them. I used these twice a week, before I use a face mask.
There are 30 pre soaked pads in the tub. It has a sweet and fruity scent, almost like a fruit juice type scent. Each pad has a pocket where you slip it over your fingers. There is a woven/linen side and a quilted side. On a dry face, you’ll start work the woven side. Gently massage the pad in small circles over your face and neck. When you’re done exfoliating, turn the pad over to the quilted side and wipe to remove the dirt and dead skin cells. You can rinse with water at this point but I usually use a foam cleanser and a sheet mask after this.
Truth be told, my skin is already in pretty good shape. It is already smooth and blemish free. I don’t know if it makes any difference but I use this to maintain its current condition.
This can be fairly inexpensive depending on where you purchase it from.
