Wonderful thing, I mix it with water or put it on a damp skin, before the oil. It is the only thing that helps my hands heal from horrible itchy dryness, not sure how is that possible when prescribed medical treatments don’t work on it at all.. So whenever the situation with my hands is critical- like when there are open wounds from scratching
– I put a drop of this serum on my hands as well. It’s a living proof this serum does do something good, probiotics in it help the skin restore it’s balance, so I’m sure my face appreciates it, too.

I like this serum enough to have bought it three times already so obviously I feel pretty positive about it. It’s not obscenely expensive; the scent is lovely – just like stepping into a lush English garden (although there’s a massive caveat to this…see below), and the product itself is very versatile. I can slap it on whenever really – morning, nighttime, when my skin is irritated, whatever the weather. And, while I don’t know if it adds a ‘glow’ per se, it does feel hydrating and soothing to the skin and seems to brighten up my face a bit. It is a mother of pearl colour with a lightweight milky consistency that goes on to your skin feeling like satin, without leaving any trace of stickiness or tackiness.
Now for the caveat. The packaging of this product is inexcusably awful. The dropper, which is attached to the cap, is poorly designed and the dropper/nozzle part separates from the rest of the cap. When this happened the first time, I was willing to dismiss it as a fluke. However, the same thing has happened with all the other bottles I’ve purchased. This leads me to the conclusion that this is really an issue of poorly designed packaging for what is in fact a truly nice product. Another thing to note – Aurelia is an organic/natural brand and consequently it doesn’t add the usual boatload of chemical preservatives to their products. This is totally fine (in fact, it was a draw to me) but the lack of preservatives makes it essential that the product is packaged in a well designed and hygienic manner in order to avoid contamination.
I have attempted to fix the cap by pushing the dropper back into the rim but it tends to pop out pretty quickly. As a result, the serum oxidises – something you notice because that lovely floral scent turns off-puttingly sour. I was unable to finish my last bottle of this serum because of this. I am not sure that the serum itself went bad but frankly, the smell was so off putting, I wouldn’t have used it even if it was still fine.
I hope Aurelia rethinks the packaging of this product. Really do enjoy this serum but I will hold back on repurchasing until this problem has been fixed.
