I am completely obsessed with this oil. I’ve tried a few others in the past with lackluster results (Kiehls, Estee Lauder, Tarte, generic brands, etc). I got a sample of this from Sephora, enough to last about two weeks, and before I was done with the sample I ordered a full-sized bottle. I can’t imagine my skincare regimen without this now.
The packaging is lovely, it’s a solid glass bottle with a dropper. I like the label and branding, it’s not over the top or youthful, it looks very good sitting out on a vanity/counter. The smell of this is what puts most people off but I absolutely love it. Lemon is one of my favorite scents and, to me, this smells exactly like Lemony Flutter from LUSH.
I use 4 drops of this every night after cleansing my skin and follow it up with my normal moisturizer (Embryolisse). I have noticed that this has definitely made my skin brighter, smoother and clearer. My pores look smaller, my blackheads are less noticeable and I don’t think that my skin gets quite as oily through the day as it used to.
I absolutely love this one and will absolutely repurchase it when I run out, which won’t be for a very very long time. The purchase and love of this item has prompted me to purchase several other Sunday Riley products that I am now testing out.

Swayed by online reviews, hype and the desire to step up my routine I bought the Artemis oil and Ceramic Slip. After using the oil every night and the cleanser AM only (used my Liz Earle PM) I found my skin improved. I’m 41 with some fine lines, open pores, totm pimples and congestion and general dullness due to sleep deprivation having a sleep intolerant toddler. This has brightened up my skin, made me look fresher and, well just, better version of me. All reviews mention the scent. I can’t avoid this. First smell the sweet lemons hit me. That was the last time. It’s an earthy/maybe humid woody/straw, natural scent. It is difficult to nail, it lingers. My husband and son detest it even if I use at night (I prefer to use at night as it is a thick oil and takes some time to sink in).Without knowing I had used a new product (why would they) all they did was complain “urgh what is that smell”. Personally I like it, it’s quite calming. I like they have not tried to mask it with a perfume blend of oils. This is how it is, take it or leave it. I’ve been over using it, as 1 drop is enough for my face and neck, nightly. I treated myself to this as it is very expensive there is no denying that. If you can afford to shell out £60 on a 30ml blend of essential oils beautifully presented, Go for it. If not ask Santa. Would I repurchase? Yes but I’m now tempted by the Luna oil so who knows…!

I love this stuff! Firstly, the thing that you read over and over, if you look up reviews of this, is the scent. It puts a lot of people off. The scent smells a bit like straw to me. I don’t find it offensive, nor do I notice it lingering. That being said, I am big on natural products and essential oils. Not perfumy type products, like say Esteee Lauder. If you are used to fragranced products, the scent may turn you off.
The other common review comment, is the glow it gives. I would agree. I put this on the first time overnight. Woke up to glowy, soft skin.
The main reason that I love this product, is the balancing it creates. My skin was freaking out from a foundation I used and I had several breakouts. Artemis worked like magic to soothe, heal the break outs and to deeply hydrate. I also just used it during/after a long haul flight. Despite wearing makeup and travelling for 20+ hours. My skin still looked great.
The texture of this oil is thick. Kind of reminds me of a silicone primer. I like the texture, some may find it too thick, maybe not sinking in quickly enough. I like the slip it gives as a makeup base and prefer products that don’t sink in immediately, to leave a matte base.
I bought the travel sized one first, to try. I got it as part of the summer skincare set from Net-a-porter. Then bought the full size from Sephora. This is going to be a staple for me.
