I noticed in the reviews below that many people used it as a night serum, which is wrong. It’s a day time product and should be used under your day cream. As a night serum it may cause irritations and breakouts.
I personally like the product!
PROS:
* refreshes my skin in the morning
* keeps it very well moisturized, especially in winters
* makes my skin brighter
* doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin
CONS:
* price – too expensive for a such small bottle
* packaging – you can’t control how much you take so this tiny bottle won’t last

I got this as a sample in a Glossybox special edition. I didn’t read the reviews below before trying it, but I can now agree almost 100% with most. Three drops is plenty for the skin and works well during the dry winter time.
There are two downfalls to this product: price and smell. Both are god-awful.

Overall I enjoy using the Aromessence Neroli but the ingrediends are nothing too science-forward; mainly hazelnut seed oil mixed with bitter orange twig-bitter orange flower-juniper fruit-clary-sandalwood-parsley oils and that looks like something one can blend in their own kitchen.

My biggest gripe with this product and Decleor line isn’t the products themselves – it is the extortionate prices. Ridiculous and if I could, I’d have given no stars for that rating. How they expect ordinary people to make up their basic skin care from this line is beyond me. How do they justify the price? The essential oils and expertise? Nonsense. Good marketing and spin also play a part and they aren’t that natural either. Even Beautypedia reviewers balked at the price of the facial scrub.
Now, any review is subjective so I want to express that.
But it is hard not to regard the price of these products – however justified – as greed on the part of the company. And in spite of the fairly positive reviews here, I would be careful with these products if you have sensitive skin as they are highly fragranced (no matter how natural) and could be photo-toxic At the time of writing one of their few products with SPF or proper protective elements is the BB cream with an SPF 15. This line is praised as being for sensitive skins, but the essential oils can be irritating (and there are oils here that are problematic) and you won’t always see the inflammation as it can occur within the epidermis.
I am intrigued by the popularity of this line. Certainly, you always buy an image when you buy a product and this company appeal greatly because of their natural ethos.
But I have to be honest and write that this did zip for my skin. Not only did I use it, but I tried it on an another person and the results were the same – none to speak of. The product certainly has an evocative scent and a beautiful (tiny)bottle which looks delightful where ever you put it. But perhaps it’s style over substance because the product did not boost my moisturizer nor did I notice it when I stopped using it.
Then there is the price. Horribly extortionate for what you get. I certainly would not recommend buying this directly from Decleor and would suggest looking about for a sale or bargain online. The price does not justify the product, however long it lasts.

I have only recently purchase this Decleor Neroli serum, but I am so annoyed by the packaging I’m posting an early review. The bottle is beautiful, however it is impossible to decant only a couple of drops as it does not have a stopper allowing you to use only a couple of drops. I am probably using too much product because of this, it’s very annoying!

I really like this balancing oil,this and clarins blue orchid are the best to add under your moisturiser,whatever brand you use,to add that bit of extra hydration when needed.I am not keen on the new packaging decleor has changed too,I miss the gorgeous little chubby bottle,so cute and the cleanser and toner bottles were lovely,what were decleor thinking! Now we have these skittle like bottles,that are hard to squeeze, and my lovely chubby bottle of naroli oil has been replaced by a streamline bottle, no,no no.yes I will still by my oil,but wish decleor see since and revert back to the old style packaging,I could only hope.

I use the Neroli Aromessence when my skin needs rebalancing. It is normally oily/combination but now seems much more dehydrated than usual, so I’ve switched to the Iris Aromessence which works a treat and my skin just seems to drink in (I’ve also tried Angelique but it’s not so easy to buy in a Decleor set, which I prefer). The Neroli is similarly quick to absorb into the skin, providing you only use 1-2 drops and allow time for it to sink in before applying any other skincare (I use these oils in place of a face serum) or make-up. Both oils are fantastic for thirties plus ladies as they really do seem to have anti-ageing properties, really nourish the skin and leave it glowing, but the Neroli has the edge as it smells especially gorgeous. I’ve used my own jojoba and rosehip blend as well as pure argan oil and while they are perfectly acceptable substitutes they are nowhere near as light in texture or mood-lifting fragrance-wise as the Aromessence oils.

Magic face oil for those dry winters. A dab at night, spread over face will help with the winter skin. Cracked lips, nasolabial folds etc. Bought in France for a fraction of the price in USA. Small glass bottle.

This product smells like HEAVEN but gave me insane breakouts. I guess any “Oil Based” formula is bad for my skin (large visible pores and sensitive skin).
I’m a product Junkie and will try anything once. But lately after splurging on some very high end products (Decleor/LaMer etc) I have come to realize they do nothing different for my skin than any other product. In fact basic drugstore products (Neutrogena / Oil of Olay) work wonders for me that this ridiculously expensive product does not.
Anyway now I use this as a light sleepy-time scent. Nothing more.

I’m a face oil junkie and I’ve gone through 3 or so bottles of this Decleor oil over the years. Overall, it’s a good oil, but not great or HG for me. The Ren Rose face oil is my absolute holy grail skin care product but after finishing my bottle and having to deal with it being sold out everywhere I decided to go to my fallback – Decleor.
Packaging: little glass bottle where you have to pour of the desired product. I know people have issues with oils in glass bottles because mixed in with a wet bathroom that can equal disaster. I keep mine on my vanity to avoid this. It’s a cute, elegant bottle without screaming ‘expensive skin care’. Pouring it out of the bottle is a pain. Why not a pump? Anyway, start out slow.
Effects: I have normal skin, maybe slightly dry once in a while but I love moisturizers and oils to give that dewy fresh look. I use the Decleor oil day and night – about 2 or 3 drops after spritzing my face with a mist, oils always apply better on a damp face. I massage the oil in as a moisturizer. Note: I know this is the ‘wrong’ way because you are supposed to pat it in, but this way works for me. I wait like 2-5 minutes and apply my regular moisturizer. I actually find that the Decleor absorbs significantly faster than other face oils I’ve tried. Overall, a great moisturizer/serum. No breakouts for me. It’s actually helped heal and slightly fade old acne marks and it leaves my skin looking dewy and glowing.
There is also a scent. I am awful at describing scents so take a peak at other reviews for that. It’s a lovely, complex smell – I enjoy applying the oil. It fades very fast so don’t fret about your face smelling all day.
Overall: While the amount of oil you get for the price is frustrating, I will most likely keep repurchasing this one. It’s a good, almost great face oil but there are better ones – the Ren Rose Oil and Rodin oil have noticeably changed my skin.
