I have dry skin, with cheeks and nose having slightly couperosis tone. I had illusions, that this serum will even the tone of my face and will help to get rid of that slightly reddish tone on my cheeks. Unfortunately, that was only a waist of money. I used it for a month, and serum did absolutely nothing to my skin. Maybe it does give additional nutrition, which went unnoticed by me. At least it did not worsen my skin condition, but for that money i would like to have much more than that. After i wash my face, i use Apostles Avocado pear nourishing night cream/Vanilla pod hydrating day cream, which i really love. For those who have dry skin, i have to say: this serum does not provide any comforting hydration or nutrition, that a dry skin requires. It is necessary to use some kind of cream, after using this serum, otherwise skin will start having uncomfortable stretchy feeling almost immediately after applying serum. As i read reviews, i see that most of people who praises it, have oily skin. That’s may be the point: maybe this product does not fit for dry skin.

I have been using this serum for at least 3 years. I have oily acne prone skin with large pores. This is a watery, tinted brown serum that once it dries it makes the skin feel tight. It’s not oily or moisturizing. It leaves the skin matte which is why I prefer this for my oily skin during the summer.
Some cons of these product are that if you have fair skin and don’t blend it properly because it is slightly tinted, you can see it on the skin.
Another thing is that despite the fact that it leaves the skin matte and it creates a wonderful base before make up, if you don’t let it for at least 20 minutes to complete dry out and you apply your base products right after, especially powder, it can make them look really patchy.
The positive things about this product, is that it does minimize the size of my pores and it minimizes the discoloration that scarring from blemishes leaves behind. I also like that it is not oily and helps to keep my skin matte.
The worship serum from the same brand is extremely similar in texture and the results it gives to the Apostle serum. So I would say go for whichever you would like to try. For me, both work the same!
If you have oily skin, large pores and you want something to help you with the marks from scarring, I would say give this or the Worship a try!

Now this is one very bizarre serum! Its texture is almost like a congealed jelly! I actually ended up ordering this twice as the first time I got this I thought it had expired. The second bottle turned out to be a bit better but within several weeks of opening (and keeping tightly shut) it did exactly the same thing. The pipette will not suck up the serum at all and you have to ‘shake’ it out of the glass bottle. Expect it to come flying out in blobs! Texture aside it instantly disappears into my skin, making it very difficult to use just a small amount as instructed as it barely covers the surface area of my face and neck when using the equivalent of a few drops. It’s also very drying, I have to use a moisturizer of some sort over this whereas normally with serums I’m good using them alone. The ingredients in this are all natural and it smells very fruity – not the artificial fruity scent you often find in lip glosses, but a very earthy, real fruity scent which might not be to everyone’s taste. Results wise yes I did find it moderately brightening but at the same time a bit of a pain to use, and considering how much I was using, also very expensive! I love the Antipodes brand in general but this serum would not be a re-purchase, unless some serious changes were made to the formulation consistency.

My skincare holy grail! It’s my easiest skincare step, just apply and it’s absorbed in seconds. Some say it doesn’t moisturise… it does, just remember that it’s oil-free so it won’t feel like a layer on your skin. I’ve noticed after 3 weeks of daily use that it has slightly faded a couple dark spots I have on my cheeks.

The Apostle serum is a staple in my morning skincare routine. I find that the Apostle serum has more of a blurring effect than a brightening effect. The serum blurs out my pores and any pigmentation to create a much more even-toned and fresh-faced complexion.

I bought this product expecting a moisturising serum, but it turned out to be the opposite. The formula absorbs into the skin well, but it’s extremely drying and cannot be used without a heavy moisturiser afterwards. I’m not even really sure what this is meant to do, because after using it daily for a few weeks I’ve noticed no difference.

This serum is gorgeous. I usually have olive or light/medium complexion and it does brighten my skin. Though, just to note, I did not give this serum a 5 out of 5 simply for two reasons: 1) The price is really steep and may be hard to use persistently even when I really want to & 2) unfortunately for products like this, you really have to be persistent to ensure a more long-term effect.
Nonetheless, I really love this product. The colour is an interesting dark red wine but the smell is just so divine and enticing. The consistency is rather watery, and I find it works the best if I mix it with my routine face oil. This is because this serum can be absorbed too quickly on bare dry skin and I felt that 3 drops by itself could not cover my whole face and neck – again, I am onto the cost-effective factor here. Maybe this would be a good motivation for me to work hard and earn more money (and therefore spend more on this)?!?!

I am not blessed with happy skin and when it gets upset, which is often, it leaves months of pigmentation irrespective of whether or not I left the blemishes alone. I am so happy I came across this product because a) it’s got gorgeous natural (some organic) ingredients in it and b) it works!!!
It smells fresh and fruity. It’s a dark serum looking liquid that absorbs quickly into the skin without any irritation. My marks don’t seem to form from the minor blemishes and the bigger ones take about half the time to fade. It has also seemed to have provided a new resilience and quality to my skin – the healthy parts looks healthy and glow!
Only downside is the price but when it’s the only one I would be willing to put on my skin and it works, that’s literally the price I gotta pay :p

I have switched to using a number of Antipodes products as a result of liking this product so much.
I have inherited ruddy cheeks from my mother and in the past had uneven colouring. This has definitely improved both.
This comes in a glass bottle 30 ml with an eye dropper making it hygienic. I use 4 drops morning and night and pat it over my face, neck and décolletage.
I am moving towards using more natural skincare so love that it is natural plus effective. I have already purchased my next bottle.
