   I got a sample of this. There is no way this is worth $330 dollars. Absolutely not. On their website, it claims it “hydrates intensely”, that’s just not true. I have normal to dry skin and I didnt find it to be moisturizing. It actually dries pretty fast. It has a nice gel like texture and it spreads easily however OMG THE FRAGRANCE!!! Awful! The scent it’s way too strong, overpowering. Just by glancing at the ingredients I dont see what’s so special about this, the few first ingredients: “Water, Propanediol , Glycerin , Dimethicone , Butylene Glycol , Glycoproteins, Panax Ginseng Root Extract…” Dont recommend this if you have a sensitive nose. I like strong perfumes, but I dont want them on my face. This felt like applying perfume on my skin.

   I’ve used pretty much all of La Prairie’s serums, and am really happy with their newest offering. I generally prefer La Mer’s serums, but I may be switching! I took the “two week test,” which is a good amount of time to test the true efficacy of any product (samples alone are not enough to go by).

   The consistency is like a very light lotion which glides over the skin. Two pumps is enough for my face, neck, and décolletage, so I imagine one bottle will last at least three months. I’ve been using it both morning and night, with different creams for each (SPF during the day, a Retinol cream at night). It’s incredibly gentle, and moisturizing enough to spare my skin of any irritation from my nighttime Retinol cream.

   The texture of my skin has changed noticeably, including smaller pores and decreased depth in fine lines. This isn’t Botox, so don’t expect your wrinkles to disappear altogether. I’m just happy that the improvement is good enough to notice and make a difference. That’s a rarity these days.

   If you prefer an anti-aging serum over a lifting one, I highly recommend this product.

   I used to use nothing but La Prairie, however, after numerous discontinuations and replacements, I can’t use the brand anymore. This serum is not only highly scented, it broke me out horribly. I’ve never had this reaction so it was a bit of an anomaly. I have oily skin so serums are preferable and I’ve never had one break me out, so I was extremely disappointed. Bring back the longevity serum! I switched to Sisley and my skin has never looked better so I suppose this was a blessing in disguise.

   I use La Prairie everyday and have a panoply of their products. La Prairie sent me a two week trial of this product when I purchased another product, and I was excited to try it. At first, I really liked it. I don’t like heavy creams and prefer serums for skin renewal and hydration. The consistency of this product is very lightweight and melts into your skin quickly. I used it for three days and my skin seemed more hydrated. Then the results quickly changed for the worse–my skin started to break out and became very irritated. I have very sensitive skin, which is why I rely on La Prairie products, but I wouldn’t recommend this product to someone who has combination or sensitive skin. Sadly it wasn’t a longterm success for me.

   As what we have come to expect from La Prairie, this is a very elegant formulation. The serum is a lightweight hydrating gel that is drunk up by the skin almost immediately, leaving it soft, silky and smooth. The hydrated feeling after applying reminds me of Estee Lauder’s Advance Night Repair serums.

   But what about those bold claims that it will reduce wrinkles and fine lines after just 2 weeks? Nope, no change. Test subjects probably saw an improvement because their skin previously lacked hydration and this serum plumped up their skin.

   I really like this serum, but I wouldn’t pay that much $$$ for it.
