I have mixed feelings about this serum. I liked it! It has a thin but viscous consistency and absorbs rather quickly. It scent has a medicinal smell that is a bit strong but it disappears almost immediately. It spreads easily and only a few drops are needed to cover the face, neck and decollate (I always apply my serums to these areas). It originally purchased this product because it has 5% mandelic acids at an effective pH. Overall I thought it was moisturizing and it layered well underneath creams and sunblock. My skin felt smooth after application but I was hoping to for more drastic results. I wanted more brightening and clarity. I think I need a serum with a higher percentage of mandelic acid. This is still a solid product but not quite what I need.

I’ve been using this product for almost a month now, and I can say that I’m loving this product. I love the packaging and the scent, and it really does brighten my face. Even after waking up in the morning and with all that oiliness (i have an oily skin), I can still see that glow in my face. I had a dull-looking skin and dark marks on my face which caused by a pimple gel product that I’ve used last year which is why I had decided to try this product. Overall, I’m still yet to finish the whole bottle to see the overall effect on my dark marks, but as of now, I love how it does give me that healthy glow/ brightening effect and somehow, my dark marks have lightened a bit. I’m definitely repurchasing this product and will also try other products from the Magnolia brightening and firming line soon.

This product Naruko Mandelic Acid is designed for busy working women (but men can use it as well) because of their fast acting natural ingredients. This product helps with brightening the skin and helps lighten dark spots, age spots, freckles and scarring. I LOVED this product from the first moment i tested out on my hands. Yes it does feel just a little bit sticky from the hyaluronic acid because hyaluronic acid retains water and moisture which keeps your skin moisturized.
This product is also made for sensitive skin and i have also brought this product to the dermatologist before and she herself said that this product and it’s list of ingredients is rather impressive.
I use this morning and night time and my face definitely looks more bright!

Naruko’s amPM Series is targeted for busy working professionals that look for effective skincare products. Personally, I reckon that this series carries products that has more active ingredients in it.
The renewal and brightening serum, with 5% Mandelic Acid (MA) aims to increase skin cells turnover for a brighter and more luminous complexion. I was initially quite sceptical to apply products, especially more so, since it contains acid in it…. but a quick Google search revealed that MA of 5% is indeed safe/mild for normal skin (Note: Acne targeting/dermatologist-prescribed skincare usually carries higher concentration of 10-20%).
It comes in a complete opaque bottle, with a built-in glass dropper. Texture wise, the serum is very similar to water (completely transparent, with a mild odour of essential oils which is stated in the ingredients). It finishes off with a slightly sticky (but not greasy) feeling. If you’ve used any products with hyaluronic acid, you’ll get what I mean. My gripe about the the instructions is it does not tell you precisely how much (how many drops needed per application). For me, I apply about 6 drops per application which I found to be quite sufficient for my whole face.
I’m onto my second week of using this serum and noticed that my complexion is more glowy and hydrated (thanks to the composition of hyaluronic acid in it, which I had very good experience to begin with).
However, I only apply this as part of my night skincare regime…. simply because I felt that it would have been too ‘potent’ to apply a renewal serum twice a day.
I would highly recommend Naruko skincare- simply because they deliver results, and does not hurt your wallet. If you look at the ingredient list, they use plenty of plant extracts/essential oils, and don’t include unnecessary/harmful stuff.
