   I haven’t run across too many miracles in a bottle, even though most (expensive) products claim this. After suffering an allergic reaction type of breakout all over my face, when it was clear for so long, I was looking for something extremely gentle, but moisturizing and healing. After spending a lot of time in the skin care isle of my market, I found this, which seemed to have promising Amazon Reviews and little irritating ingredients. After about three days of agonizingly slow healing, my face is already starting to calm down with this stuff. Works better than leaving my face bare. I’m pretty impressed and will look to use this for other applications in the future.

   I wish I had found this earlier in life! I use it wherever healing is needed on my skin and it has not let me down…scraps, cuts, acne, hair moisture…the list goes on and on. I just can’t live w/o it and the little one ounce bottles are a great size…$2 somthing at my local whole foods.

   I think this is really terrific stuff. I love the fact it’s aloe, but better – the additional vitamins just make it all the more appealing. I had an early issue (like another reviewer) that it didn’t seem to sink in very well – until I finally tried putting it on right after cleansing while my face was still the barest bit damp. It really sank in and left my skin really soft and not sticky. I was also able to put my new OTHER favorite, NuScience Oxygen Gel, over it an hour or so later without either of them balling up. These two products have made such a difference in my skin tone and especially the undereye area, it’s amazing. Still love my Derma E Retexturizer and use it every morning, but this is my nighttime combo and it’s great to know while I’m sleeping – all those natural elements are doing the repair work! 🙂

   I bought the 1 oz. at $2.85. I bought this to make a anit-itch spray for my cat and me. (He has a ear polyp and I can’t afford to have it removed at the moment…and it causes him to itch…it’s blocking his ear canal)…..anyway …I have a lot left …I have used this (the gel on it’s own) on mosquito bites and torn/dry cuticles …this is wonderful…the next morning the redness and irritation is gone. it has a seaweed extract to thicken it …so it stays where you place it. A little goes a long way …very nice and cooling…… Oh, in case you want the anti-itch spray for humans and pets (dogs also like this) here it is:In a 1 oz. spray bottle- 2/3 of that bottle fill with witch hazel(I used a store brand) then 5 to 9 drops tea tree oil(as desired- this is pretty strong smelling oil, but it is the key ingredient)…then a teaspoon of the Aloe Life Skin Gel…shake to mix. You can apply by a cotton ball …as most pets don’t like the spray. You may want to test this and see if you or your pet is allergic…test a small area ,like your fore-arm..the pets leg…wait 24 hrs.

   I haven’t had much luck w/ this like the previous reviewer has. I primarily bought it to be used as a light moisturizing gel for my face and to help heal acne. This was the best pick at the health food store so i gave it a shot. My plan was to apply the gel to clean skin as a treatment gel for my acne and as a light moisturizer. But when you put it on i dont like the way it feels and sets. It doesn’t absorb into skin it just dries on top of the skin, it kinda feels like a light, tight facial mask. Also when i apply my tinted moisturizer over it it just flakes off. So i decided to only wear it at night, but it causes me to have to use more of my reg. moisturizer to cover my face bcuz texture of the aloe doesn’t allow my moisturizer to spread easily. I also tried mixing it w/ my moisturizer too, which wasn’t any better either. I haven’t noticed any healing properties going on either. I haven’t seen any change in my breakouts or any prevention. Also my skin feels slightly more dry, tight and flakey sense i started using this too. So really iv had no luck w/ this for my skin so i tried it out in my hair which was a better option for me. I applied it to my hair w/ conditioner and i applied it to my hair b4 str8ing it which i guess helped as a heat protectant but other than that i haven’t seen any change in my hairs condition. So im hoping ill find some good use for this. I think ill try another aloe vera, just not this one.

   UPDATE: Yay iv finally found good use for this. I love using it in my hair, wet and dry. And i had a booboo and this healed it pretty much overnight.

   this is the best aloe vera gel that i have tried. i used this on a scabbed abrasion on my face and it healed in no time and didnt leave a scar. ive tried other aloe vera gels like fruit of the earth and jasons. they dont hold a candle to ALOE LIFE SKIN GEL. unlike the other brands,aloe life is 99% real aloe. its also super cheap and a little goes a long way.

   this is still my go to product for healing! i recently used it on an open cyst and it healed in no time. i also use it on scars, burns, etc. this gel in my opinion is even better than the real plant due to the fact that it has vitamin e and c in it. a bottle of this stuff will always be in my home!! LOVE!
   ETA:
   based on the review above, i must add that this aloe is NOT to be used as a moisturizer and definitely not before applying any kind of make up. this aloe is very similar to the real plant which means the texture is very slimey and gooey. it is best for spot treating or to use all over face at night before bed.
