I love Neal’s Yard and have a lot of their products. I don’t use this one very often which is a sign that I am underwhelmed by it. On the plus side, it does do a good job of tightening the skin under the eye and reducing puffiness as long as you put it quite low down (under the bag area) as otherwise it travels up and into the eyes and this can make them water a little, although it doesn’t hurt. It absorbs quite quickly and makeup slides on easily over the top.
The scent is light and unobtrusive, and when I do use it, I use it under my Neal’s Yard Rose Mallow moisturiser.
Negatives – the difference it makes isn’t that noticeable, especially if you don’t have many fine lines or wrinkles around your eyes yet. The applicator also distributes far too much product for both eyes for me, although the bottle itself is compact and easily portable.
I ignore the Neal’s yard best before dates on their products, as 1) you would never use all of this in time and 2) I find that if you store them out of the sun and don’t double dip with dirty hands, there is no noticeable deterioration in the product.
A bit of a fad product for me, although I do reach for it on days when I am sleep deprived and the eyes are looking decidedly more puffy than usual. A cold compress or slices of cucumber for 5 minutes would do the same job though if you took the time in the morning.

Only had a sample of this but it made A LOT of difference on my eye area! My problem is that the eye area is very dry, and no product seemed like it would be able to help. The sample maybe lasted for about two weeks and it was great, and I could feel my skin soften! Definitely purchasing this!

Horrible. One of the main ingredients in this product is witch hazel. Would you put witch hazel near your eyes? Nope, so not sure what the benefits of this product is. It iritated my skin and made my eyes really red and itchy. Did nothing to moisturise or improve dark circles. A totally pointless product.

I’ve been using this eye gel for about 5 weeks now and love it.
It is very refreshing and soothing, my eyes get less fatigued throughout the day and they feel cool (kind of like you’ve splashed a little cool water onto the area). The packaging is great and one pump is enough to do both eyes. After 5 weeks, at one pump every morning, I still have over half a bottle left so it’s excellent value.
If you dab it around the eye area rather than rub it in it leaves an ever so slight shiny film on the area which is fantastic as it minimises the appearance of any fine lines and makes the eye area look really bright and fresh.

Still *loving* this eye gel! The bottle lasts about 8 weeks so it’s excellent value.

I’ve been using this product for around a year now. I like it and have repurchased. It doesn’t do anything for my fine lines (that I’ve noticed) but it does gently moisturise and smooth the area out. Very cooling and doesn’t make my eyes puffy like other, heavier creams.
A few slight problems – as you get to the end of the bottle and it’s a little older, in the gel are some amber-coloured blobs where the gel has dried out and collected. This is a minor annoyance as I just don’t use those bits. Second thing is the plastic pump – I love the pump dispenser (press it gently though otherwise you can dispense enough for four eyes) but the plastic pump on one of my bottles broke while on holiday this summer. It was fairly carefully packed in a flannel in a wash bag and the glass didn’t break, but I did end up with a lot of eye gel all over the flannel and the inside of my washbag. Be warned!!!
I’m sure I will buy this again but I’m looking for something slightly richer for night time. For day use it’s perfect, great base for makeup etc, but I need a night product to focus on the developing fine lines.

This is a nice, light eye gel. Great for the morning as it does help alleviate puffiness and is very cool and refreshing. I have very sensitive eyes and this gel does not cause me irriation – it does not have a scent. It is not incredibly moisturizing – but I have not found a gel that is, creams usually work better for that. This gel is great under makeup. I like the pump bottle – very clean.

Great product, really seems to make a difference to the fine lines around my eyes. Also very cooling and non greasy, so good to use in the morning too. The packaging is great, as the pump dispenses the right amount of product each time. It’s expensive, but will continue to repurchase.

Very effective cooling eye gel. Works on fine line. Only problem is it finishes really quickly due to the light texture. A £16 bottle can only last for 1.5 months.
