Like the previous reviewer, I received a sample of this eye gel from Sephora. I’ve been using it for over a week now. The first thing I noticed was the strong rose fragrance. I prefer my skincare products to be fragrance free, and I’m not a huge fan of rose-scented products, but I decided to give it a try anyway. To my surprise, the product didn’t irritate my sensitive skin, but I still don’t love the scent, and I think it’s rather unwise to use fragranced products around the eyes. I appreciate that this product moisturized the skin around my eyes and didn’t make me break out the way most emollient eye creams do. However, beyond basic moisturization, I didn’t notice any positive effects. This product is too expensive to justify purchasing merely to provide moisture, especially since my usual face moisturizer works just fine around my eyes (and is fragrance free).

I received a deluxe sample sachet from Sephora and tested this eye cream for about a week, using it both day & night. The gel cream is not super lightweight, but not oily or sticky and absorbed moderately quickly into my skin. Overall, it was soothing, calming, & moisturizing. I found myself using more product than usual because I enjoyed how it felt when tapping it gently on my skin. It claims to refresh eyes, but I didn’t notice any significant changes visually, besides it just feeling refreshed. Also, not sure about the 30 hours of moisture it claims to provide, but it definitely kept my eye area moisturized from 9AM through 9PM when I use eye cream again before I sleep. As for improvements to wrinkles in the eye area, difficult to determine with a small sampling, but this product felt good enough for me to possibly purchase the full-size one when I need to. I am currently a big fan of products with hyaluronic acid. Wouldn’t mind sampling the version for face!
