This is a godsend for people like me who often get puffy and swollen eyes.
There are so many reasons why my eyes go puffy and swollen. PMS, food, hot weather, flying, not sleeping well..the list goes on and on.
I usually rely on a cold gel pack from the freezer wrapped with a clean kitchen towel, which also works. Some people use cold sppons from the fridge.
But even with the cold compress, my eyes would look somehow tired and dull especially during PMS. I also tend to have dark circles and I´ m also 42, so my undereye area needs a lot more than that.
So I really wanted something that refreshed and moisturized my eyes.
I´ve tried some gel eye creams with caffeine, some patches from the drugstore and nothing really convinced me.
Since I have rosacea, my eyes are super sensitive and some of these gels/patches made my eyes water and my undereye area burn.
Enter these gorgeous patches.
When you search on the internet for patches, you´ll get all types of patches with gold, pearl and salmon egg, but these don´t seem to be very popular.
I used MediHeal sheet masks before and they quickly became my favourite sheet masks and I now buy only sheet masks from this brand these days.
Since I was unsure if my sensitive eyes would like these patches, I ordered 2 samples of these straight from a Korean ebay seller. The usual price I pay for a whole pack is around 5 Euros for 5 pieces.
I got them, put them in the fridge and the next time my eyes were puffy I tried them.
I was instantly in love with these patches. They are technically moisturizing gel patches, but contrary to all of the eye patches I tried from drugstores, they do actually hydrate and pamper the eye area.
A lot of eye patches I tried sat useless under my eyes and did nothing. These really transfer the moisture to you skin.
When you put them on, they have a juicy, gel-like texture and when I take them off they are like dry paper, so every bit of moisture was soaked up by my skin.
The patches contain glycerin, hyaluronic acid, ceramides and collagen, so they hydrate the skin well.
I use a cold compress if my eyes are really swollen and then put on the patches. It just feels so refreshing to take them straight from the fridge and put these cold patches on.
They fit nicely under my eyes and don´t fall off or move, so you can run around or just sit down and watch a Korean drama like I do. You leave them on for 20-40 minutes depending on how quick your skin absorbs the liquid. Please don´t leave them on for longer because after the liquid is gone, they get papery and fall off.
After I remove them, my eye area is nicely hydrated and plump. I put my eye cream on top and I´m ready to face the world again.
Especially on those days, when you feel blah and tired, these are a nice kick of hydration for your eyes.
You can already tell that I love these patches and I make sure to re-order them frequently so I don´t run out of them.
Highly recommended
