I am a big fan of Jouviance product and I’ve been using them for years. I am now 44 and have more lines around the eye area so I decided to use the focus fx eye serum. I really wanted to love this product but unfortunately the retinol gave me so many side effect like irritation, redness ,excessive peeling and dry patches. I have tried using it less often but no luck 🙁

One of the only retinol treatments that I can use on my ultra sensitive eyes. Gel format that absorbed unbelievably well. I use the extra product from each pump on my ‘11s’ and smile lines. Awesome relief of my fine lines, my eyes look refreshed and younger! Love this stuff!! 1million/10!

I honestly can’t believe I’m seeing the results I’m seeing after just a week of using this serum. I have been a devotee of Jouviance for several years and while I think they’ve sort of “over-expanded” their line (to the point where it’s hard to know what I should be using on my face at any given time or if products can be combined/layered), I’ve rarely been disappointed with anything I’ve purchased. I have been meaning to pick up this newer eye serum and but kept forgetting and then last week, the stars aligned and it was on sale AND there was a bonus points offer AND I remembered! I use this as a first step around my eyes, day and night, and once I leave it to “sink in” a bit, I apply my regular eye cream on top, as the serum does not seem very hydrating. What is amazing is that within a few days, my hooded eye seemed far less “hooded”. I don’t know if I’m imagining it or if this product is truly having that lifting/firming effect it says it has. In any case, and whatever the case, I am really pleased! I will certainly continue to use this. Because it contains retinol, I was a bit nervous about using this on my eyelids but the instructions say to apply all around the eye, including the upper lid (and also to lines between the eyes/above the nose). I’m pleased to report that there is absolutely NO irritation. The bottle/dropper is ingenious and sanitary and the fact that it’s not see-through means the product is protected from light, which is good. It does make it hard to know when you’re about to run out, however. Also, the “cap” is very small and would be easy to lose by dropping it down the sink drain or having it roll out of reach somewhere. Two minor complaints, though, for a really surprisingly effective product.
Update: I am sad to report that this product very suddenly gave me a reaction and I fear I can no longer use it. Back in June, I developed a red, scaly, burning area on my eyelid (just the left one, which is my droopier one, even though I was using this on both eyes). It took a while to clear it up and because it was my eye, I was pretty limited in what I could put on it (Josie Maran thick oil and some emu oil seemed to do the trick over time). It took a good 2 weeks before the scaliness and redness were gone and in that time, I couldn’t wear any eyeshadow which, for me, is a real downer. Because I had such noticeable results with this serum, though, I figured I’d wait a month or two and then give it a try again. First night – no problem but by the morning after the 2nd night of using this, the burning and redness were starting to return again. What is so odd is that it doesn’t bother my right eye in the least. It’s so disappointing, though, considering what a difference this was making. I may give it one more try or see if somehow I can build up resistance to it but I fear it’s almost the opposite – that now that my skin has been sensitized/irritated by this, it is even more reactive rather than less. This is still a great product if your skin can tolerate it.

As a committed fan of Jouviance products I picked up this new eye serum the minute I could get my hands on it. This eye serum comes in a small bottle with a squeeze tube tip (very unique and I’ve not seen this before) that allows you to dispense the tiniest amount, which is really all you need to do both eyes. Especially if you layer it under the eye cream or 3-in-1 Anti-Aging cream like I do. It contains retinol and hylauronic acid which lifts and moisturizes the eye area and it doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes. In fact, you can use the Jouviance eye products 360 degrees around the eyes. The skin around my eyes is plump and hydrated, with no visible fine lines or wrinkles even though I am approaching 50. The serum stimulates the production of collagen and elasticity in the skin. I highly recommend FocusFX if you are looking for an eye serum and I recommend pretty well the entire Jouviance line for skin care products. Love it!
