This is the matte-est mat coat I have found.
My salon uses NYC and it is hardly matte at all. Same with Essie. Even OPI’s matte is not this matte. It depends on how matte you want to look though. For me, i want as matte as possible.

For the longest time, I couldn’t find an affordable matte top coat, so I gave in and purchased this one from Butter London. It works really well, but I just can’t get over the ridiculous price. I’m sure matte top coats by Essie, OPI, Revlon, or other brands work just as well.

This is a great matte finish topcoat! Very nice and interesting and cool effect to look at. I was so excited to try it. It is pretty expensive, but i would def. stick to this one if i had the money to splurge on it all the time. With that said, I do get a good amount of product and i think it was worth the investment. It is the first one that i’ve used and i’m going to try others too to see if i can find any cheaper alternatives. a topcoat is something you should invest in, even if you buy your nail polish from the dollar store. so that is why i bought it. topcoats are the only varnishes that i will spend over $2 dollars for.

Love! This topcoat is a great product. For $20, you get a huge bottle of topcoat. This topcoat is truly a mattifying topcoat- it gives your manicure an almost “velvety” quality when applied over top of your polishes. And this is a true matte- not a sort-of, semi-shiny matte that some “matte” topcoats provide. One of my favorite ways to wear this is to find a nude colored, frosty polish that matches my skin tone and then paint the matte topcoat over the nude polish. It’s a great chic look that makes your hands look very well-groomed. I’ve also tried this topcoat on top of the other darker polishes I own, and love it! It’s like having entirely new nail polishes! With this topcoat and several of the polishes I already own, I’ve successfully discovered several dupes of popular matte polishes out there without having to spend any more $$, which was a pleasant discovery. I would encourage anyone to give this product a try, I’ve found that it’s well worth the money.
