This is my HG top coat. It a dupe for Seche Vite in appearance and initial dry down…with superior longevity. This stuff is amazing! I’d give it 4.75 Lippies if I could.
Pros:
–Looks and dries like Seche
–Lasts longer than Seche***
–I can get 7 full days w/ minor edge wear and no chips.
–Stinks a bit less
Neutral:
–It is true that the topcoat itself discolors in the bottle – particularly w/ reds/vamps – to a light lavender. I actually don’t consider this a con as I cannot discern any tint-effect it has on my polish, even when it is no longer “clear.”
Cons (reason it’s not 5 Lippies):. I pray a big bottle will once again be available by the time I finish these.
–At about 1/2 empty, product thickens, making the top coat layer thick. Some shrinkage results at just shy of half-bottle, and product becomes difficult to work with. Doesn’t streak, and it levels as smooth and shiny as ever, but the coat of it is *thick*. At this point, I replaced my bottle.
–At the point of this writing, BK is out of stock on this. Are they discontinuing??! GAH! So supply is an issue. That said, here’s how much I love this stuff: I *actually* bought the last two ‘trial kits’ – w/ a bunch of stuff I did not need – because each had a teeny trial bottle of Simply Quick. $40 spent in essence for two dinky bottles. That’s how much my polish lasting this long means to me
***Caveat: to get the 7 days, the day after my manicure, I reapply Simply Quick 1x, making sure to seal the tips. Then – 7 day heaven (I’ve gotten up to 10, but only a couple times). Note: I also use their base coat to achieve this. It’s ridiculous how much this stuff grips to my nails!
Misc if interested: I keep my nails very short for piano and guitar and I love dark polish because I’m fair (so edge wear and chips are a big downer). I love my nails painted and nice looking, but I refuse to baby them. Once they’re done, I use my hands with zero care towards my manicure. I say this because I am *hard* on my manicures. Also, I respect this company, for their research into their nail oil. No, I’ve no affiliation w/ this company, I’m just a junkie for it. It’s so rare to find a company these days that actually tries to create good products. I’m just darn impressed and when I find one, I want to share the love. 😉
Conclusion: if you’re a Seche devotee, you owe it to yourself to give this a whirl.

This top coat dries quickly and has a long-lasting shine. However, the brush picks up color from nail polish and deposits it into the bottle, causing the remaining top coat to develop a murky appearance. It’s DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde free.
