Although the price is insanely expensive, it is very much worth $45 CAD. I noticed a huge improvement in my skin immediately after using it and I will never go without it again! I have dry, acne prone skin and this stuff is a GOD SEND! It looks smoother, feels softer, makeup goes on beautifully and my skin is finally moisturized!

I received the 7-pk of ampoules as a gift and finally decided to try them last night. When I broke open the packet, I was surprised to find that it really was like water as the other reviewers mentioned. It WILL run all over you and everything else if you tip it over, so I was careful to only pour a small amount at a time into the palm of my hand, then patted my palm on my face. It looked ridiculous, but it worked. At first, it stung a bit and I was filled with dread because my skin is exceedingly sensitive, and will get scaly, dry patches that take weeks if not months to go away when irritated enough. I resisted the urge to wash it off, and went to bed. What I woke up to this morning was nothing short of a miracle. My skin feels plump and hydrated, not like after slathering moisturizers on, where sometimes it feels like its coated in a film of silicone or smooth, dry, slime (as sleeping masks/packs tend to feel), but like nice, fresh skin. I can’t stop touching my face, and although I know that’s a horrible habit, it just feels so soft. There’s no irritation that I can see, and although I’ve only used this the one time, I could see making it a part of my normal nighttime ritual, except that it’s a little bit cost prohibitive. Once I make it through the rest of the pack, I’ll update this review.

I like the packaging of this product and have been using it daily after cleansing. It absorbs quickly and does not irritate my skin. However, I am not certain that it is actually doing anything! It has the consistency of water and I haven’t noticed any real difference between when I use it or not. I also think that my bottle has a typo on the label. It says to use a teaspoon of product- not only would that be a LOT of product, but the bottle contains less than 8 teaspoons. If used twice daily as suggested, the full-sized bottle would last 4 days. I have just been using the amount that feels right.

Note to sufferers of contact dermatitis: I could NOT layer this with First Aid Beauty’s Anti-Redness Serum. I had used each separately and liked them both, so I thought it would be okay to use them both at the same time – NO! Uncomfortable tingling, and I had to wash my face. I can alternate them, but together they were sensitizing.
PROS:
Ultra Repair Liquid Recovery contains propolis, soothing oat extract, sodium hyaluronate, and other ingredients to calm and moisturize the skin in a liquid formula rather than lotion or cream.
Ultra Repair Liquid Recovery is suitable for oily, sensitive skin. It does not feel heavy, greasy, or waxy. Makes skin feel soft and the sodium hyaluronate plumps skin with moisture. The oat extract is soothing to redness from acne, rosacea, eczema, or other dermatological inflammation.
ADVICE: Don’t layer it with lots of other products. The more products you apply to sensitive facial skin, the greater the risk of irritation and/or breakouts.
CONS:
None
Comes in two sizes: a 1 oz. squeeze bottle for $38 and a small box of little ampoules for travel for $8. I recommend testing the product first at Sephora or with the travel size before committing to the full size bottle. However, if you do buy the ampoules, the liquid will run out all at once, so have a cotton pad to absorb and apply, otherwise much of the product might be wasted. The squeeze bottle is a great way to control the amount of product you use, but it is $38 and might leak during travel.
In closing, I almost classified this as a moisturizer, but did not because it is a liquid. This would be a relief to someone with oily skin who finds even lightweight lotions to be too heavy, but wants to restore moisture after cleansing. If you have very dry skin, this probably won’t be moisturizing enough.
