Sadly, all this did was really irritate my skin. I heard all sorts of great reviews about this toner from skincare experts and even though I don’t really fit the target audience for this toner (I don’t have dry skin at all), I am trying to use a more gentle approach to my base skincare so I got this.
I have acne prone and very very very oily skin that’s occasionally sensitive, although I haven’t had a sensitive reaction in over 2 years. I used this toner for 2 weeks before I began to suspect that it might be the cause of my unusual breakout. My acne is normally small, mild but all over my face as well whiteheads and the occasional cystic acne spot. But this time, my breakout was everything all at once: multiple cystic acne spots, lots of smaller spots, whiteheads and blackheads, plus my skin was red, very itchy and irritated, and a few eczema spots along my left eye and cheek came back (after having been gone for over a year) so I knew something was wrong.
I stopped for 2 weeks and waited for my skin to get back to mostly normal, and decided to give this toner another try. Yep, another 2 weeks later and my skin was back to being red, itchy and breaking out.
I’m also not a fan of the texture, it’s very thick, almost like an oily gel. It takes a while to sink into the skin and my face is still slightly tacky afterwards. Those with dry skin might like that, but since I have oily skin it just made my skin feel heavy.
I’m not saying this is a bad product, especially considering all the great reviews and glowing recommendations, but it definitely did not suit my skin. Those looking to try might want to get the travel size first to give it it a test run.

I really wish I could love these types of “toners” but it all seems to really irritate my skin. I have a bottle I will never use. So much wasted money on the “layering” method to try to bring some radiance back and it really does seem like less is more for me. Reading my reviews from the mid 2009’s it seems that’s what worked best for me.

I got the toner on Yesstyle for cheap. It’s quite moisturizing and a good base for the products that follow in my routine. I’m not sure whether or not this toner is the culprit forba couple of blemishes on my chin. Nothing major but still! I’ll keep an eye on that and will continue to use it.
I won’t repurchase anytime soon. There are too many promising toners for me to settle just yet.

I tried this hoping for lightweight moisture for warm humid days. It has provided that… it makes my skin feel smooth, plump, and supple ( as the name suggests ).
The problem is that after about an hour, my entire face turns day- glo pink every time I use this. I suspect it’s the high percentage of butylene glycol, as I had a similar reaction to the CSI l–aa serum, which also has high amounts of butylene glycol. So I am d/c ing, and won’t repurchase.
However, if your skin is okay with butylene glycol and you’re looking for a light hydrator, I do suggest trying this one. The watery, runny almost gel textured liquid sinks right in, isn’ t at all sticky after a few seconds, and it did leave my skin supple and hydrated.
So my three star rating accounts for the fact that I cannot use it, but I think others will love it.

This is great for my dry, acne prone skin. I use this on my face, shoulders and chest in the AM and PM. It’s so hydrating and not greasy at all.
I get body acne, while still having very dry flakey skin, and this keeps it at bay, heals and doesn’t dry my skin out. Together with Cosrx Good Morning Cleanser and The Ordinary Niacinamide my face and chest almost entirely cleared up without using drying skin damaging products. This is the good stuff my dudes.

I love this toner! It has a very different feel than any other toner i’ve tried before – a little thicker, *almost* like a thin gel. It’s incredibly soothing and hydrating on my skin. I haven’t had any negative reactions to it – dryness, itchiness, breakouts etc. I can see why people love this product and honestly think it would work for everyone. Highly recommended!

If you are like me and were one of the very few people who didn’t enjoy the original version of this toner I would DEFINITELY recommend trying this one instead!!! Usually essential oils don’t bother my skin too much but I found that my skin would break out more with the original version- but not with this one! My skin feels supple and hydrated after using this every morning and night. I can also tell my other serums and treatments are penetrating my skin better and I feel like I am getting the most out of my skincare products. The “Unscented scent” doesn’t bother me at all I actually kind of like it.

This review is for the UNSCENTED version of Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner. After watching Wishtrend’s Glass Skin video on Youtube, I became very curious about their toner, so I started scowering the internet, finding so many glowing reviews for this product. I decided to go with the unscented version, since the original formula contains a lot of essential oils that probably wouldn’t react well with ultra sensitive skin. I purchased this on Wishtrend’s website and paid $21.99 plus about $10 shipping. I also purchased a sample of their original toner to try. I live in the USA, so I wanted to kick myself when just one day later, I learned that Klairs sold this on Amazon for the same price, but with free & fast shipping. Ah well, at least I got to purchase samples along with my order, so not all was lost, I suppose. It took a little over 2 weeks to arrive, but it was worth the wait. It comes in a clear bottle with a purple label that holds 6.08oz/180mL of product. I really like the packaging, because it has a controlled drip top (a top with a little hole), so it only pours out a little at a time, so no product is wasted. It’s a little more viscous than water and it soaks into the skin quickly. My skin drinks it up, leaving me with skin that feels & looks so hydrated & plump! I usually apply this using the Korean 7-Skin Method. After I wash my face & spritz it with my Heritage Farm Rosewater, I add about 5 drops of this toner on a cotton pad & start lightly wiping my face. Once it dries, I add a few drops to my hand and apply it all over my face, concentrating mostly on the areas that show signs of aging, which is my forehead, under my eyes and around my mouth. I continue patting my face until it is dry and wait a minute or two then repeat the process several more times. After that, I use my Skinmedica ha5 Hydrator mixed with a small amount of rosewater then I add my moisturizer. By the time I am finished, my skin looks and feels so cushiony & moisturized! On days when I’m in too much of a hurry to do all 7 layers, I’ll do 3 layers instead and it still gives me amazing results. I have been using this for about a week now and so far, I have not had any clogged pores, which is a great sign! My skin is incredibly sensitive, so I have to be careful what I put on my face. So far, I highly recommend it!
If you live in the USA and want to purchase this, I would get it on Amazon. Klairs has an official store that goes by its namesake, Klairs. Shipping is for free, so it will only cost you $21.99 and it will arrive much faster. Also, I plan on trying my sample of their original toner very soon, so I can compare products to see which works best with my skin type, so be on the lookout. 🙂
