I really love this mist even though it’s not particularly hydrating to me (I have dehydrated combo skin). I find that it works great as a toner, and I use it before applying any serums (which is then followed by a moisturizer).
The smell of this is so amazingly good; it is a tart, fresh strawberry scent that I find very uplifting and invigorating. So even if it’s not an effective hydrator, it still acts as an instant mood-booster for me.
As a toner, this gets 4.5 stars. If you’re expecting something moisturizing, this isn’t going to cut it.

Have you tried a thousand different moisturisers, with oils, without oils, thin and thick, with silicones, without silicones…but they just never seem to really moisturise your skin? Then you might have dehydrated skin like me, which needs more water before you put on your lotion.
Any pure water will help, like the Avéne Thermal Spray or even just mineral water from a bottle. Considering you can get a whole litre of pure water for very little…why should you purchase something like this strawberry hydrating mist?
First of all, because of the scent. This is the scent of sun ripened, freshly picked strawberries that to me is summer. The real deal, that just makes me close my eyes when I spray it on my face and imagine warm days (winter here right now). Well, at least my first bottle smelled like that. The other one smelled like strawberries left out for too long.
Secondly, because it doubles as a gentle toner containing witch hazel and willow bark to help calm and gently exfoliate skin. This is especially important if you like me have to shave to keep from looking like a man since ingrowns happens so easily.
It also contains aloe leaf juice and tamarind seed extract, which helps to really calm the skin when it is a bit irritated which pure water just doesn’t do (I’ve tried).
Lastly, it contains strawberry fruit distillate. I don’t know about your skin, but my clog prone, dehydrated skin really loves anything strawberry. It is like magic for my skin.
Now, it does become rather expensive over time considering I go through about half a bottle of this a month, spraying 8×2 times a day (morning and night). But for the scent of summer, for how it feels on my skin, and the nice effect on my pores I gladly pay the 10 dollars or so a bottle goes for.
Oh, and the best thing? It comes in two sizes. One small 1 oz bottle that I always keep with me, for whenever I need a refreshing spray during the day, and a large 4 oz bottle that I keep on my vanity.
