The previous reviews are excellent for this toner, as they delve into many details. I will simply say that I do like this alcohol-free toner. I can not tolerate alcohol and most toners, as my skin is both sensitive and prone to spots. This one is refreshing, smells of lovely roses (I am not always a fan of rose-scented skincare, as they are often too unnatural), and leaves a mildly hydrating layer in the skin. I’m still unsure if it has caused my more spots, but it definitely hasn’t otherwise bothered my skin. The price is very fair and it is easily found in the U.S. at CVS (often on offer).

Perhaps the best toner I’ve ever had. My skin is pretty dry in winter, and mixed-oily in summer, and a mix of both in spring and autumn. This stuff is amazingly calming, even after a good peeling, it leaves behind a slight “layer” which I think is due to its glycerin content. But fret not, as normal (mineral oil based) glycerin keeps giving me zits big time, the glycerin in this is, at least it says that on the packaging, derived from plants. I tend to believe this, since it’s amazing on my skin. It feels deeply moisturised and almost all of my moisturisers work really well over it, also my foundations. It evens out greasy and dry patches, which is perhaps the best thing! I love, love the scent, but that’s just an xtra benefit. There’s also witch hazel extract and aloe in it, which helps keeping the occasional spots at bay.
I used to use Kanebo Sensai Lotion 2 and 3, but this is much cheaper and much better, and hopefully even without animal tests!
In summer, I wear it without any additional moisturiser as it’s too humid to put on anything extra on the skin, except perhaps a sunscreen, and this also worked. Big favourite!!

I like this – I just wanted something a little more hydrating. A couple of drops of glycerine added, and it’s fantastic. I now have the whole range, thanks to my local health food shop having a buy one get one free sale.

I absolutely adore this toner, and after 4 months of using it I can confidently say that it’s my favourite toner, and that’s saying something as I’ve tried many others.
I have normal/combination skin which is quite sensitive and reactive to ingredients it will usually reject without wasting any time if something is not right about that product.

What do I think?
This toner is amazingly gentle, refreshing, cleansing and nourishing, not to forget: moisturising, brightening, calming and soothing! It’s the only toner that calms my skin after washing, leaving my skin super soft and hydrated ready for other products if I chose because otherwise this is amazing all on its own.
I use this after exfoliating and cleansing my face. I find that after using this my skin is plump, soft and ready for any moisturiser.
I also like to use it first thing in the morning to wake my skin up, its so rejuvenating and the delicate rose fragrance is so soothing.
I know this product works for me because when I stopped using this I found that my skin wasn’t as receptive or calm, but when I started using the Rose Otto toner again and my nice skin returned!
If you looking for a great product with all natural ingredients and no chemical nasties, that will love and condition your skin, you can’t go wrong with this.
Hidden Gem!
Dr Organic products are seriously underrated. but it’s fine by me – it’s nice to find a product that works like a dream but isn’t too mainstream that the makers push the prices up or change a good thing too much! This My HG toner! I’m hoping to try the cleansing milk and the day cream next.
