I am surprised that this product doesn’t have more reviews, since it’s very popular in Asia and also very affordable. You can get Hadalabo products in most drugstores in Asia. There are three lines:
White line // Goku-jyun // moisturizing
Red line // Goku-jyun // anti-age
Blue line // Shiro jyun // brightening for more luminous skin
Goku-jyun? Shiro-jyun? What’s the difference?
This is the answer from the official Hadalabo homepage:
“Goku-jyun means “extra moisturizing” and is the name of our moisturizing skin care products that provide intense hydration using Super Hyaluronic Acid. Goku-jyun products are easy to identify by their white packaging. Shiro-jyun means “brightening and moisture” and identifies our brightening skin care products. Shiro-jyun products are specially formulated with botanical extracts, a vitamin C derivative, and skin conditioners to help visibly diminish the appearance of freckles, age spots, and dark spots caused from sun damage. Brightening Shiro-jyun products are distinguished by their blue packaging.”
I bought this lotion in Japan and it’s one of my favourite products for the summer, when my skin tends to be oilier due to the humid weather and Shirojyun keeps my skin clear, hydrated and luminous. It makes my BB cream glide on like a charm and provides a nice glow to the skin, without clogging my pores. When I need more moisture, I use the Hadalabo Gokujyun milk, since it has a richer formula, which is very handy in the winter.
My boyfriend however, who has oilier skin than me, which is acne prone and very sensitive aswell, loves this product, it’s his HG and he loves it to a point, where he begged me to order some more for him and I have to admit, that his skin texture has improved a lot (refined skin, less visible pores) and the brightening agents definitely work, since his reddish pimple marks disappeared and his skin has an overall healthy glow and the redness, which he also tends to have is nearly gone. (For the reference: He uses this along with the Laneige Firming Sleeping pack)
So if you have oily or combination skin and you need some non-comedigenic moisture kick, without overloading your skin: give this a try.
Also, since it’s a very easy to apply product, without any fragrance and with a neutral package design, your bf/hubby/brother/father may like this aswell, since it sinks in nicely without leaving any residues and is a great source of moisture.

UPDATE 2, march 2014:
I still use this after periods of break outs, with sunscreen op top, to avoid getting, and helping get rid of brown marks – the product really works well 🙂

UPDATE:
I haven’t changed anything in my face-routine except for incorporating this lotion. I’ve used this for about 1.5 months now and my skin feels much softer 🙂 I can’t attribute it to any particular ingredient, but I’m sure that it IS this toner that’ doing it, as this is the only thing I’ve changed for about 8 months

.
What the Japanese call a “lotion”, western people would call a “toner”. This is a milky-see-through liquid with no real smell. This has no perfume, no colourants, no alcohol and no mineral oil. It has arbutin, which is a good whitening agent (it doesn’t “strip” your skin of colour – it inhibits cells from making melanine), hyaluronic acid (helps skin hold onto water) and vitamin C – to brighten the skin and make it radiant (less dull)
.
I have always wanted to try an effective whitening product and a good product with hyluronic acid – here I have both in one! 😀
.
I bought this on the recommendation from pbunniep:
She said she had sensitive skin and this didn’t irritate it at all and that it was good at moisturizing the skin.
.
I have very sensitive skin that is irritated easily. I have for about 1.5 year now used a great cream that hag gotten rid of all of the pinkness in my skin, but I have some adult acne right under my chin (comes and goes). Because I have naturally light olive skin, every time I get a blemish, I get long lasting hyperpigmentation, even without picking. I really wanted to get rid of the hyperpigmentation on my face and tried several products – exfoliants, vitamin C creams and different whitening agents. Nothing worked for me and some products irritated my skin instead.
.
Then I tried this lotion. I can say that this feels very comfortable on my skin and doesn’t irritate my skin at all! I though I saw my hyperpigmentation begin to fade already after using this just a few days, morning and evening before my moisturizer. I thought that it couldn’t be possible to have a product that worked THAT fast, but then… I saw my moles fading about 2.5 weeks into using this. I think that’s pretty good proof for this working! My skin actually looks even more hydrated than before too, which I thought was impossible, because my skin already looked pretty good.
.
How I use this: I pour a little of the liquid onto my palm, dip my fingertips into it and put it all over my face, including the eye area (you should not apply PURE hyaluronic acid there – it will create undereye bags). Then I pat my face until the lotion begins to feel sticky, apply my regular moisturizer and pat that in too. After this I either go to bed or wait a little, so my moisturizer sinks in, and then apply my makeup. If you have normal, not dry skin, and use liquid foundation, you might even skip moisturizer on top and just apply the liquid foundation right over the lotion – that’s what I do in the summer.
.
I you don’t want to by a whole bottle of this, search for sample bottles – they are pretty cheap and there should be enough in there to test out for about 3 weeks, twice a day. You should be able to see if this helps you or not by then. There is 30 mL/1 oz. in one sample bottle.
