i have sensitive hormonal reactive skin
pros:
– cleanses skin without drying
– gel like consistency lends to lasting longer/less product use
– rather inexpensive for the quantity in the bottle
– easy to find in shops
cons:
– heavily fragranced
– could be problematic if used on skin sensitive to glycerin and fragrance
– the flip top lid is not very well constructed
– may be too harsh on truly dry sensitive skin types
i started using this toner in the mornings after showering and in the evenings, to finish cleansing. it pulls any residue off without stripping the skin, it balances out the drying affect from stridex pad use, and works well with my moisturisers. normally i’m not a fan of fragranced skin products at all; they can be irritating but i found using Simple brand toner was actually very harsh in between Stridex pad treatments so i took the plunge on this one. i will say that it somehow manages to keep my skin bright and, in conjunction with my moisturiser, helps makeup settle beautifully. as the weather continues to get cooler i notice more benefits from this toner. when used in the evenings i wake up to noticeably clearer brighter skin.
still waiting to see how long this bottle lasts and how it performs as the weather changes. the fragrance can be cloying to those who are sensitive.

A good toner with a jelly like substance.Makes skin smooth and very moisturising.
Wouldnt purchase again because of the consistency.

I used this for a good 3-4 weeks before stopping. Over time my skin became very sensitised to this toner, causing my face to break out and burn after application. It was a VERY heavily scented toner, which smelt like dish detergent to me. The consistency was also really strange; it was like watered-down jelly, rather than a typical watery consistency like standard toners I’ve used before.
After using this it, it left an unpleasant tacky feeling to my skin, which probably explains the burning sensation I felt after use as I can only assume it must have left some residue on my skin.
One good thing – if you find you can get on with this and it doesn’t affect your skin – the bottle is HUGE! You get 400ml and I think I only paid about £4.99 for it, which is really good value for money.
Finally, although this claims to be for dry and sensitive skin, I definitely wouldn’t recommend it for either types based on my experience whilst using it.
