I’m very, very pleased w this toner. It is a lot like Korean toners I have tried in the past. It’s luxurious and essence like. It’s very moisturizing but absorbs all the way. The ingredient list is impressive and makes me feel like I’m doing my part to take good care of my skin. I use it every morning all year long, and I use it in the winter at night. I use it after showers. Needless to say I use a lot and am a happy customer. The price is really not bad either.

I’ve repurchased this several times. It is my favorite PC toner – leaves my skin feeling balanced and revived after cleansing, ready for the next step. No film, stickiness, or thickness like her other toners. I kept trying others because of the specialized treatments and ingredients, but I keep coming back to this one. Sometimes simple and solid are the way to go. Good value!

Pros : Leaves Clean Feel, Smells Great, Gentle, Elegant Texture, Not Greasy
Cons: None
Best Uses : Sensitive Skin, Oily Skin, Combination Skin, Daily Use
I recently tried Earth Sourced toner, and I must say, this is the star of the Earth Sourced line. It has an elegant gel-essence texture that can be glided over skin after cleansing with either fingers or a cotton round. It has a pleasant neutral scent. It feels very rich and nourishing, and is lightly hydrating without being overly heavy or sticky. The toner complimented the Earth Sourced cleanser very well, maintaining the clean feeling I had from the cleanser. Although the ingredients contain many beneficial botanical oils, I think this product would be better for normal to oily skin types because it is minimally hydrating. Overall I love it, and will consider a full-size purchase!

Eh, nothing special. I don’t like the smell or taste of this toner.

This is one of two Paula’s Choice leave-on products I’ve tried that doesn’t turn me into an oil slick within an hour (and oh lord have I tried many), so that in itself is quite miraculous. It’s also among the few that don’t contain ingredients I’m allergic to. I really enjoy the texture and feel of this toner, though it feels more like some of the Asian essences and serums I’ve tried — like a very runny gel or a very thick liquid? No cyclopentasiloxane in this one so it won’t leave that silicone/silky feel that Paula seems to usually be obsessed with (and I hate). Nevertheless, it does leave my skin feeling a different kind of silky, smooth, and soft that I really enjoy.
It has a moderate scent of oats which is reassuring because my irritable skin loves that stuff. As per PC’s usual, this toner is loaded with beneficial ingredients and luckily lacks any that make my face burn or breakout into hives. Even better, this provides enough hydration and moisture for my extremely oily skin to the point that I don’t need to use an additional moisturizer except on any dry spots. My skin simply behaves much better when I stick to light/minimal leave-on products, so that’s a huge plus for me. No acne or clogs so far, but time will tell…my skin typically isn’t bothered by carrier oils when used in moderation like they are in this toner. My skin just feels really calm and happy which is a nice change. Fingers crossed for continued success.
This is basically my Paula’s Choice unicorn, which means it will probably be discontinued or reformulated, but in the meantime I will enjoy our time together.

I love this. Full chock-full of anti-oxidants.
Since her super antioxidant serums are getting more and more expensive, I’ve switched to this. It’s kind of a thick toner, almost a serum, so I pat it on to my face with my palms. I don’t use cotton since it’s still kind of expensive compared to other drug store toners.
I will keep on buying this until forever but I really hope they will make it cheaper or at least increase the size of the bottle. It’s too small!

I have very oily skin and I cannot use any moisturizers. They turn me into a slick ball. So this toner helps me add some antioxidants to my skin care routine. It makes my skin very soft and velvety. Love this product. If you use a moisturizer then you can skip the toner. Highly recommend as a moisturizer for oily skin.

My Skin Type: Combination, clog-prone, eczema, easily dehydrated and sensitive to many fragrance ingredients (esp essential oils, citrus etc).
I use some of PC’s skincare BUT it is really hit or miss with me. Some of it I love (such as the Clear 2% BHA, it literally transformed my skin from hideously broken out to smooth and clear for going on over 2+yrs now), others I hate with a passion (their silicone-laden retinol serum, and gel moisturiser). This toner however is great. Keeps my skin so soft, smooth and glowing all day. I like to wear very minimal make-up if any at all, so skincare is of the utmost importance to me and my skin is what I am most often complimented on.
I was a bit nervous since for years I have avoided most HA (hyaluronic acid or sodium hyaluronate) type products as they really dehydrated my skin even further and made my skin look gross, dull and dry. I haven’t experienced any dullness or dehydration since purchasing this about 3-4 months ago much to my surprise. This does contain glycerin though, which my skin seems to do really well with. In the winter when my skin is drier, I add an extra drop of plain glycerin to this toner. I use this like you would a serum: I apply after my cleansing routine (oil cleanser, mild foaming face wash) and then pat on with my hands. I follow with a moisturiser/oil, or if my skin is very oily and it is humid out – I will just use this toner alone.
This has an almost a fluid-gel type product, similar in feel and texture to many essences and Japanese or Korean skin/lotions which I am used to, and I love that texture. It feels more “cushiony” on skin than do watery toners. It plumps up my skin, and adds light moisture without being heavy or emollient, therefore is probably most suitable for combination, normal or oilier skin types.
Pros:
– keeps my skin balanced and fresh, not oily and not drying
– dries quickly with no after-feel or stickiness/tacky feel
– great as a mist for use throughout the day to refresh make-up or skin (just pop it into a spray mist bottle)
– no fragrance or essential oil, irritants, menthol etc which my skin can’t tolerate
– has good ingredients (glycerin, antioxidants, etc)
– no animal testing!
– doesn’t sting or irritate/breakout my skin
– frequently on sale
– samples available to try before buying full size products
Cons:
– expensive for a toner (plus the bottle is quite small! only 5 fl oz, or 148 mL compared to other toners I have bought and used, for example Embryolisse’s Eau De Beaute which is 200mL or Neutrogena’s Alcohol-Free Toner at 250mL, although the same size as “higher-end” or treatment toners such as Algenist Hydrating Essence 5 oz, or Missha’s The First Treatment Essence, also 150mL)
– since it contains quite a long list of ingredients it has the potential to irritate or clog/breakout some individuals, though I haven’t experienced this
– can only be ordered online (and the PC website can be annoying at times. . oh well)
Repurchase/Recommend? I would repurchase, and recommend this to anyone looking for a lightweight hydrating toner, especially those with combination or oilier skin.

I liked how this felt on my skin but I didn’t see any results to keep using it. It does lightly moisturize if that is what you are looking for. I do like how it felt but see no need to continue to buy based on that.

I HAD THE SAMPLE.
This is a decent toner that truly is rife with antioxidants. This is not any better than any of the other toners she has to offer. If you want to try ‘Paula’s Choice’ though and you want something close to naturally derived ingredients that is also cruelty free give this a try. Keep this away from your eyes as it can irritate them.
