I used this toner for about two years until I read on article on what not to put on your skin. I then stopped using it. When I used it, I actually really liked it and thought it made a difference in the appearance of my skin. I liked the scent and the fact that it doesn’t contain alcohol. It felt nice using it. However, when I discontinued my use of this toner, i realised that it had made no difference at all. My skin looked exactly the same. If you have problem skin, which I don’t have, perhaps this toner wil help you. I am certain there are better toners out there for you though.

This is a gentle AHA/BHA toner for combo/oily skins, although I think anyone except for super sensitive skin would be able to use. I’ve been using this toner for a year now and it (along with a couple of other products) have changed my skin for the better. Thanks to Caroline Hirons, I now know how crucial acid toning is to your skin care routine. I never knew how dull my skin was until I started using this. I use this toner every morning. I was using it in the evening as well, however I started using a stronger acid toner at night (FAB Facial Radiance Pads) for some extra oomph. I think if someone is going to start incorporating an acid toner into their routine this would be a great place to start. Its gentle, has a nice citrus-y smell and isn’t crazy expensive compared to higher end lines.
I do have a small gripe… On the box it says that this toner is alcohol free, however Alcohol Denat. is one of the last ingredients listed for this… annoying and misleading.

I bought this as it was recommended by Caroline Hirons. I honestly don’t think it is an exceptional product. It is pretty mediocre in terms of: removing leftover makeup after cleansing and exfoliation. I don’t feel any difference to my skin when I use/don’t use it. I am incredibly underwhelmed. Save your hard-earned cash for a more effective toner at half the price.

Best toner I have ever used for my acne prone combination skin. Have noticed a big improvement in my skin. Would highly recommend. Good natural non comedogenic ingredients.

Im surprised about the lack of reviews for this toner?
This is a good toner, I like that it is natural and that it helps to exfoliate the skin without rubbing and tugging using a face scrub. I also like that it is gentle enough to use every day, twice a day.
However, because of the price and the fact you don’t get enough to last you much over a month it looses a few lippies. It also has lavender in it, which is its FIRST ingredient, this is a known irritant for the skin no?
Like I said its a GOOD toner but I’m sure there will be better out there for the price. Im going to try the kate somerville clarifying toner next as its slightly cheaper and looks to have better ingredients (also has no alcohol, always a plus for me).
Sorry Ren. I had high hopes, but its just… Next.

I bought this on the recommendation of caroline hirons’ blog. I love it! I’ve had big problems using acidic exfoliants as they always dry me out. I find this toner very gentle. My skin is smoother and softer. Blackheads are reduced. I use this every second day. If looking for intense exfoliation try adding alpha h liquid gold into the mix.

This is a new product from Ren and it’s a part of the combination skin range that they have. It’s a toner with exfoliating properties so it’s a bit like Clinique’s lotions (3 step regime). As well as lightly exfoliating the skin this toner is supposed to minimize pores and keep skin looking less oily. I have just finished this toner and I have been using it once daily since mid April, 1,5 months.
This is the first Ren product that I haven’t enjoyed using as much as some of their other products. I ran out of this product very quickly, 1,5 months using it once daily, the size being 150 ml. It didn’t make my skin less oily and didn’t minimize my pores. The only good things about this toner was that it did exfoliate gently and that the ingredients are better than Clinique’s toners. I won’t repurchase.
