Category: Toners
Brand: Silk Naturals
Ingredients: Reformulated 2016: Distilled Water, Aloe Vera Juice, Salicylic acid, cocamidopropyl dimethylamine, Gluconolactone, and Sodium BenzoateOld Formula (not sure if this is the complete list): Distilled Water, Aloe Vera Juice, White Willow Bark Extract
Beta-hydroxybutyric acid is great for the sordid pore-it falls in time to tear the oil, and helps keep them super clean-and, I hope, less inclined to get pimples.
Another place where the BHA shines after any hair removal. In fact, actually, the first minute, but after that, you’re not getting almost as much as the rock, and it’s mocking some of the wax. It helps to calm the inflammation and keeps me from breaking up. It’s almost mandatory if you do something to your bikini line — you really need it.
Our BHA is unique because it doesn’t contain alcohol. We added a lot of aloe to help calm and soothe your skin. PH-3.5-4.0.
Toner a little Styrofoam. There is a small amount of surface-active substance (soap) to help dissolve salicylic acid. This is much more than the skin than alcohol, and it is safe to use as a vacation product.
Tioneers on the basis of acid are not compatible with the retinoids.
Don’t use that if you’re allergic to aspirin. Don’t use that if you’re pregnant or fed.
You get 4 ounces (120 ml) of the bottle.
Please note: In September 2016 we changed the formula for the use of salicylic acid. This allows a product with a more stable and controlled pH to be a true extorator. We found it as affective and efficient, like a willow-based toner.
Ingredients: Distilled Water, Aloh Vera Sok, Salicilah Kislota, comamidoppropyl dimethylamine, glucollactone and Benzoate
Gluten-Free. It’s valid for six months.
Sunburn alert: This product contains beta-hydroxide (BHA), which can increase skin sensitivity to sunburn. If you use this product, and within a week of the end of the use, use sunscreen.

Pretty good BHA however, I don’t like the way it gets foamy on the cotton pad. It’s gentle, a little bit drying as it is a very pared down formula. I appreciate it for what it is and have purchased it a few times to be sure.

I have tried SOO MANY BHA PRODUCTS. HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS WORTH. And this little inexpensive underdog is the best one (for me).
Skin history: dehydrated, hormonal acne AND fungal acne, mild rosacea, large pores, cc’s, blackheads and visible SF’s on my t-zone.
Let me be clear: I did NOT purchase this to help with acne, I purchased this to help clear closed comedones, blackheads, and reduce the appearance of sf’s (sebaceous filaments.) BHA has historically caused worsening acne for me due to it disrupting my skin barrier. BUT. This bha is so gentle, basic, and effective, that I can use it once or twice a week without it ruining any of my progress. No fragrance, botanicals, or other irritating ingredients. It effectively and rapidly reduces cc’s, blackheads, and sf’s. It’s also very inexpensive.
Once or twice a week, I will remove sunscreen and grime with a wet microfiber cloth. I will then generously apply this BHA and leave it on my skin for 20 minutues, then I shower and follow with my usual nightly routine (vanicream gentle face cleanser, hada labo plumping gel cream on damp skin, cerave healing ointment to seal it in.)
I am so thankful for this product. It’s my HG.

I have been using this product for a few years now, and it is a staple in my routine.
It does the following for me
-Helps with acne and clogged pores/blackheads
-Great at keeping the texture of my skin smooth
-Minimal ingredients – no reactions/aggravated skin/breakouts etc
It is my favourite toner, and I will continue to repurchase!

I purchased a sample of this, hoping for a suitable (and more affordable) alternative to Paula’s Choice 2% BHA liquid. While P.C.’s product is largely ineffective for my sebaceous filaments, it works wonderfully for the odd zit. A little dab and the zit is greatly diminished by morning, if not gone entirely. Needless to say, I was hoping the same effect from this product. Since I have a lovely shiner, I test drove this out on it last night. I awoke to find no change whatsoever in the size or depth of the zit. This will be relegated to use as an anti-bacterial after extracting sessions; glad I didn’t opt for the full size.

This product broke me out horribly. My sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin has been pretty calm lately and I was looking for a product to smooth my skin and keep my pores clean. After two days of use, my skin broke out in painful whiteheads on my cheeks and forehead and 2 cysts, one on my cheek and one on my neck! It took me days to calm my poor skin after this incident. I’m all for simplistic products. This one sounded great, as it only contains 3 ingredients. I guess simple isn’t always better, though.

Great bha choice for sensitive skin and seems to calm my rosacea. Use a spray cap so you don’t waste product – I used one from an old GOW bottle which fit perfectly .

I have acne, but also really sensitive skin. I need something to penetrate into my pores and de-gunk them, but it’s hard to find something effective without making my skin really red and flaky. This toner has Salicylic Acid derived from willow bark and has aloe vera in it. It’s effective and gentle.Love it!

I have nothing but great things to say about this! There are so many drugstore salicylic acid products out there in stores that are, in my opinion, poorly formulated. Whether that’s due to the brand not formulating the product at the correct pH level, not specifying the percentage of the active ingredient, or pairing the active with poor skincare ingredients like fragrance or sensitizing alcohols in the formula. This is a big problem because many people new to serious skincare end up getting a bad impression of exfoliating acids from using one that is not well made to begin with. This toner has none of that and gets everything right. Ideal pH, ideal percentage, simple and CLEAN ingredient list, and it’s gentle but effective. Silk Naturals made the right move by reformulating this a couple years ago to use salicylic acid instead of willow bark extract. I decided to purchase this out of curiosity after trying their 8% AHA toner (Which is also great) and I can confirm that it really does a great job at exfoliating, treating acne and congested pores, and helping calm inflammation all in one go. And you simply cannot beat the remarkable price either! This has been a staple in my skincare routine for probably almost a year now and my combination acne-prone sensitive skin gets along really well with it. It’s really a shame too that this company’s acid toners don’t get nearly the love they deserve in the world of skincare. I will continue to use and repurchase this and will not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking to treat acne and clogged pores. Now if Silk Naturals could come out with a PHA (polyhydroxy acid) toner, I’d be completely over the moon about it (Seriously, Silk Naturals, please consider it! It would be a great addition to your line of toners)!
