This product is truly EVERYTHING bad about drugstore foundations in a bottle (or a stereotype of drugstore foundations in a bottle)! It honestly is the worst of the lot. Here’s why… First of all, the “light to neutral” color I got was straight-up DARK orange. I have other things from Neutrogena in “light” and this is NOWHERE’S NEAR light. It’s a dark, ORANGE tan color. Second of all, the product itself is horrible. The pump barely works, and it covers absolutely NOTHING (and I’m a fan of tinted moisturizers too!!). I honestly don’t know how they continue to sell this, because if this doesn’t even stick to MY dry skin, anyone with oilier skin has literally NO chance of this staying on for 5 minutes. If I could give it ZERO stars I would. I threw it right in the garbage after attempting to use this ONCE because that’s where it belongs! Bed, Bath, & Beyond was kind enough to refund me though, so that’s the only positive thing I have to say.

I recently “rediscovered” this product, after thinking that there must be something “better” for my skin.
I used this in my early 30’s, before BB creams were popular and I wanted something lighter than foundation, but still with a bit of coverage. I liked it back then, but got bored and started trying a bunch of BB creams. I forgot about this stuff for the most part.
Now in my 40’s and looking to save some money on skincare, I repurchased this and was surprised at how well this worked on more mature skin. It is one of the few tinted moisturizers that leaves your skin looking better after you use it. It has perfect light coverage, matches my skin tone well (the fair to light) and has a nice satin finish, not super unnaturally matte, and not too shiny. It actually seems to make my skin glow.

I don’t know if my skin is just too oily for this product, but it started to feel very slimy and slippery. I couldn’t wait to wash this off. It also left me with little whiteheads everywhere. I think it claims to be oil free, but something in here is a nightmare for my skin. No thanks, I’ll pass!

I felt like the formula was really patchy, and the light to neutral shade that I purchased had an almost orange tint.

I bought the Ivory to Fair 10 shade, and when I pumped some on my hand it looked too dark. BUT, being an enhancer rather than a foundation, it wasn’t too dark for my skin at all. very light weight and my skin looks great! Being 25 I’m beginning to look more for healthy skin products rather than what covers blemishes and such. It will be great for my Spring and Summer makeup! ????

I wear the lightest or 2nd lightest shade in all foundations. The lightest shade in this product was at least two shades too dark. The product felt nice on my skin, but definitely darkens throughout the day and doesn’t have much staying power

I’ve been looking for a substitute for my beloved Nars Tinted Moisturizer, which costs around $43 and breaks the bank for me. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer was about $12 at my drugstore.
Neutrogena’s Skin Enhancer is not a dupe for Nars TM, but it has sunscreen like Nars TM, which is a plus. I would say it’s great for dry skin like mine because it is silky (albiet a little greasy). It’s not as pigmented nor as creamy as Nars TM, but it does provide some coverage. Before Neutrogena’s Skin Enhancer, I also tried Boots No. 7 Dual Action Tinted Moisturizer, which I found had no pigment. I use two layers on my face.

I really like this stuff. If Neutrogena were cruelty-free, this would be perfect.
This provides light coverage that doesn’t settle in pores or look cakey. It’s not a foundation, so it won’t provider heavy coverage, but that’s not its purpose.
What I like most about it is that it seems to get the balance just right between moisture and matte-ness. Some tinted moisturizers/bb creams dry me out, while others are too greasy. This one, as Goldilocks would say, is just right.
There is no annoying smell, which is another plus.
The packaging could be more exciting, aesthetically speaking, but practically speaking it’s excellent. The pump is easy and clean, and there isn’t a lot of wasted plastic (a real annoyance of mine), nor does it come inside a box (i.e. wasteful packaging).
Honestly, I don’t have anything bad to say about it except for it being made by a company that tests on animals. 🙁

This review is for the color fair to light. This product is a multi-tasker. Because of that I use it when I am in a hurry or just don’t feel like doing the full on face thing. It is a sheer tint so don’t ask it to do more. I find the coverage sufficient though and it has a nice light feel to it. It also is a retinol treatment with an SPF 20 moisturizer. I use a sponge to apply and the finish is quite nice.

This is a great tinted moisturizer with sunscreen and other ingredients that are good for your skin. It evens out your skin but doesn’t look like “foundation.” The perfect amount of coverage for working in a professional office. I sometimes add a bit of powder on top to stop shine, especially in the summer.
I wear this daily and have for years now. I hope they never discontinue.

What a find this was! Went out of town a couple weeks ago and forgot my usual tinted moisturizer — I’m a Bobbi Brown girl. Stopped in a drugstore looking for something, anything, with SPF 15+. Generally like Neutrogena products, so decided to give this a try. Very pleasantly surprised at how nicely it blended and how quickly it “settled in.” No obvious scent, either.
My Bobbi Brown shade is “Warm Ivory,” and the “Ivory to Fair” shade of this was a great match.
Am seeing a couple lukewarm reviews by younger women. Not sure it’s the right product for someone with oilier skin; mine tends to be dry because I use Renova or Tazorac.
Am seeing that you can “subscribe” to this on Amazon.com for $8.18. Can’t beat it.

I absolutely love this product. I wanted a good tinted moisturizer to wear for spring and summer while it is getting warmer. This stuff has a sheer light weight coverage and makes your skin have a nice glow and radiance to it. I never thought I would like it because I have oily acne prone skin, but this stuff is great. I would def. recommend to anyone who wants a light tinted moisturizer. The only downfall is the price. For me it was a tad expensive then what I would normally pay. I believe this was around $10.50 USD at Target. It does have a pump so it gets a 5 out of 5 for packaging. Really love this stuff!

I have not liked any of neutrogena’s products for the face. They have never worked for me. I am at that age where my pores are getting very large and my skin is pretty oily. This product was a nightmare on me, and made my skin look even greasier and completely emphasized my pores. Do not buy this product if you have large pores and/or oily skin. The concept of this product is a good one, however it will look horrible on you if you have large pores and/or oily skin. Neutrogena is good an coming up with good ideas for products, but they never deliver for me.

great coverage and everything..but BREAKS ME OUT. so no.

Unfortunately I am unable to continue using this product because I am allergic to the active ingredient titanium dioxide. However, I absolutely recommend this to anyone not allergic to this ingredient. The coverage on this is amazing: not too full coverage and looks like the classic “your skin but better” look that has become popular. All products I have used blend great over this. The foundation stays all day even in the hot sun, and gives me the confidence to go out “bare faced” on a daily basis. Nobody will ever know you’re wearing makeup, but your flaws will be blurred and your skin will look beautiful! I absolutely recommend this to everyone looking for a light coverage bb cream.

So, I like a good full coverage when I go out at night, but during the day: I like something barely there!
So I’m trying all these new foundations.
And this one is ok. It haa Retinol which is cool.
I like the barely there coverage, it gives a fresh look. I feel that it transfers, but I’m still trying it out.

I’ve been using this for a few months and I’ve got to say– I love it!!
Highly pigmented, doesn’t require a lot to apply, doesn’t irritate or break out my skin.

I just bought this so I will update later with the long-term effects. I bought this because it is oil-free, tinted, has SPF 20, and also has retinol for treating fine lines (and I also hear it fades old blemish marks). It was $11.75 at the drugstore, which is a lot for a 1.0 oz bottle, considering its at Rite Aid. But it doubles as sunscreen, foundation (albeit, sheer) and skin treatment, so its not all that bad of a price. It has a pump, but I dont know if mine is defective, but its like I have to pump forever to get any out. Once I do get some out, its nice. Highly pigmented, but blends well. I have very fair skin, so I chose the lightest shade. It looks very “brown” when I first run it on, but like I said, it blended just fine, and evened my skin tone without being heavy or greasy. I like it so far, but I will update in a week or so.
