This is amazing. When I first tried it a few years ago I didn’t like, couldn’t figure out what was good about it and thought it was gimmicky. Well in the past couple of months I found a sample my daughter had and she shared it with me. LOVE it now. You know how you hear and see the “glow” description in so many skin care and makeup products? THIS. THIS is the one. It does give you a glow. And it adds absolutely NO texture to my mature skin.
I have fair skin. Not ivory, but more of a fair/medium (MAC N3) and this product gives such a nice, healthy, smooth look to the skin as it adds some color.
I apply this after my skin care products in the morning. Takes about 10 seconds, it seems, for the subtle color to set in. I can definitely tell this is tinted, although out of the tube it’s a whiteish-gray color. But it gives you some color and evens out skin tone. Usually I just use this as my “foundation”. Sometimes tho I’ll add a little MAC Face & Body over it, or one of my foundation serums. It all looks good and honestly, this Origins alone really does the trick.
If you want a healthy look without any type of orange tint, I highly recommend buying a sample off eBay or wherever. And the SPF is a huge bonus!
You don’t need too much – I’d suggest just a dollop – like the size of 2 peas – and that’s all you need for face and neck. It’s natural looking, smoothing for mature skin, and glowy. Not oily. Just a bit of a glow. A true glow. No glitter. No joke.

I’ve been using this for about 2 years now and while I’ve gone back to it numerous times, I’ve only just realized it’s the cause of my break-outs 🙁 That said, it’s always been a favourite for a reason – a great low-maintenance tinted moisturizer that’ll give you a healthy glow and hydrate the skin. It’s easy to use all year round as it adjusts to your skin tone, as well – no need to buy separate colours!
A few problems:
1. It does tint *slightly* darker than your original skin tone (at least for me), but wasn’t ever really noticeable enough that it was a problem. Also was perfect for summer in that sense.
2. It doesn’t stay on the skin for a long time, oftentimes it would fade after a few hours.
3. Not sure if this will be the case for everyone, but recently found that it’s been the root cause for my random and frequent break-outs. This could mean it just isn’t compatible with my skin type, or it could be due to the heavy SPF (which can clog pores) but still unfortunate 🙁

t first when you consider that this is an Origins product, you immediately think it will be great for your skin and, if like me, will purchase it without hesitation. Unfortunately, I cannot bring myself to give this item 5 stars, let alone 4. This product is a magical tinted moisturizer that matches your skin tone after applying. Issues I had with it were, it gets dirty. Ever see people’s makeup on their collar? This will definitely do that. It stays seemingly caked on my face no matter the amount I apply. It was definitely not for my skin type. The colormatch at first seemed to work phenomenally well, however I did find that throughout the day it got darker. It looked like I started the day with my skin and ended it in dark foundation. I give it a 3 only because of how my skin neither felt oily nor dry when using this product. If anything it felt healthy! Crazy huh?

This is the perfect ‘naked’ face moisturizer. I use it on my non-full face days. I wear it with a bit of undereye concealer, blush and mascara and I love it.
Its very light, very moisturizing and gives a great glow. It really doesn’t provide much coverage, so don’t bother if that is your main concern.
Personally I love it, and I am on my third bottle.

I so wanted to like this. On me, this tinted moisturizer is SO dark, I looked like an ooompa-loompa. So, not for the PPP folks. Also, when layered with other products, it does pill, so this is best used on its own. If it came in more shade ranges, though, it would be an ideal light summer-time moisturizer, when your skin doesn’t need much. The SPF level in this product is also nice- I wish there were more lighter creams out there that had higher SFP like this one. For folks whose skin tones do suit this product, however, I would recommend giving it a try. It has a nice, spreadable texture, works well as an all-in-one lotion/primer/SPF under makeup, and didn’t make me greasy or break out. If the color wasn’t so dark on me, I would use this on a regular basis.

Silly description of energy boosting should not put you off this product. It does have the perfume of Origins Ginger Essence which I like. Product colour is a pale grey which disappears during application and therefore it can be problematic to see how far coverage has progressed. Even so, it develops a subtle colour that is long lasting. Chosen for its very high SPF (40). Easy to wear all day long.

Very nice

In theory, this is almost the perfect product for me. I wanted to love this so much. But after using it for a couple of months I am ready to throw this in the bin. Unlike the other tow reviewers, I didn’t get oily skin or bumps. But it piles. After 3-4 hours, this stuff just rolls of my face in small piles. Very unattractive little piles, at get on EVERYthing, from my clothes to my phone to my little daugther! And I am left with probably no sun protection for the rest of the day. Unacceptable.

I really wanted to like this product, as it sounds good in theory: moisturizing, tinted, spf 50. Color wise it’s ok, a bit darker than my skin but I don’t mind and it does cover my red spots on the face. However, this product is very thick, turns my skin oily, doesn’t allow any breathing for the skin and it’s difficult to wear. I will probably kepp it and use it in summer/ winter, but I was looking for a summer product. Will not buy again.

This product i will not buy again! At first i liked this because it the color was just right for my skin. The first week i used it with no powder on top of it. Just my usual (7steps skin routine) I liked it but i noticed how oily my face throughout the day, i do not usually put powder on top of my tinted moisturizer. Second week i put a translucent powder on top of it and i had a massive breakout on my forehead! On my entire forehead!
I gave it another chance by only putting this product for 3 days but it gave me an army of small swollen bumbs on my forehead! And some random places on my face!
Because of this product it costed me 5x more than its worth just to buy serums etc for my forehead. 2 weeks and counting but the pimples are still there. Half of it. Waste of money.
