Chalky and drying. Blends unevenly, doesn’t settle well into skin and is an unpleasant mix of sheer and medium coverage

This foundation has a dry, powdery finish. The dryness makes my pores kind of BLEH :/ not my favorite foundation for sure.
I ordered it online(I live in the states) and I use it, however it’s not a HG for me like I had hoped.

I haven’t got one good thing to say about this product!
– horrible oily water texture
– doesn’t even tint your complexion, tinted moisturiser gives better coverage!
– smells horrible
Waste of $20

The first thing I can’t get past from this product is the smell! It smells so chalky and chemically, I just can’t stand it on my face. To be honest, this doesn’t do anything to my skin (Medium), it doesn’t layer up and build coverage and it doesn’t even my skin out however, it does give it quite a nice healthy glow. The consistency of the product isn’t my cup of tea either. For $20 (not sure if they still stock it), I definitely wouldn’t repurchase, there are plenty of other products which are way better than this.

I love Australis products and swear by a lot of them, especially their eyebrow pencils but this has got to be the absolute WORST foundation I have ever tried. Do NOT go in thinking this will be like MAC Face and Body, if applied as face and body should be this couldn’t be further from it. Face and Body applies in sheer layers (it is absolutely necessary to do this with fingers) and thickens up without ever looking cakey providing as little or as much coverage as you desire. Perhaps it was my mistake to think that this Australis Tint would be similar however not only does this have terrible coverage without being able to build it smells disgusting the type that lingers on your skin for ages and makes you want to scratch it off with your fingernails because it is so horribly uncomfortable.
When I realised it was not a good comparison to the MAC I took it off and tried to apply it like a regular foundation, again I failed. This Australis Tint balls up on your face like a lumpy old cardigan no matter what tools you use, i’ve tried this with and without moisturiser using a beauty blender, my fingers and a brush and nothing works. The only good thing I have to say about this foundation is the packaging, I wish all foundations would come in a squeezy bottle.
If you’re looking to pay $20 to rub some liquid chalk on your face then this is the foundation for you, if you would prefer a foundation that lasts long, is water resistant and a dream to build up I would take the $60 splurge and get the MAC Face and Body, don’t be fooled by all their other terrible foundations.

When I saw the packaging of this at Priceline I wondered if it would be a good dupe for MACs Face and Body foundation. Its excellent- but there are only three shades. I’m a MAC N3, and I got the Australis Medium and its perfect for me. What I love about the Australis is what I love about the MAC- it is so sheer, that it unifies the tone of your skin rather than blanketing your whole face in one shade. The translucency makes for a very natural look. Redness is toned down without flattening the look of your complexion. Sadly it looks like this foundation might be being discontinued, as Priceline had it for $10 down from $19.95 and there wasn’t much in stock. Thankfully the 94ml bottle is likely to last me a while, and by that time maybe I can afford to go back to MAC!

I was really excited for this product to be released! I bought it on sale but it retails for approximately $20, is 94ml and comes in three shades.
In revlon colorstay I am an Ivory which is still to pink for my neutral skin but it is hard to find makeup for neutral skin. This tint matches my skin pretty well since it is sheer.
I apply this with my fingers as it seems to sink in better when warm.
Coverage: Sheer to Light coverage, slightly build-able
Smell: it does smell like sunscreen but does not claim to contain spf
Texture: creamy
Staying Power: I have combination skin and I needed to blot after about 3-4 hours (thats when I was running around at work)
Skin Type : Well it suites my combination skin but I think it will work for dry and normal skin too, oily skin may need to blot or powder but don’t take my word for it 🙂
over all it is a good product but there are cheaper tinted moisturizers out there that do the same job 🙂
