   I got this in Japan, so the SPF rating here is 50 PA+++, which could be simply a difference in branding between the US and Japanese markets, or it could be that the same product sold in Japan has better UVA protection than its American counterpart. I can`t really comment on that. As for the Japanese product: it is a very thick, very moisturizing (dare I say occlusive?!) pinkish white cream that has a somewhat rosy fragrance that isn`t particularly strong, and which does go away shortly after application. It is moisturizing and dewy as hell. I mean, if I had dry skin, I might be more appreciative, but for my combo mature skin, it`s not doing wonders. There is a very, very slight pinkish white cast, but I think even medium skin tones can get away with it. It`s been a few hours now since I`ve applied, I`ve been sitting outside on my terrace, but it still feels like a thick layer of it is moving around on my face, rather like a rich winter moisturizer. It is spring now, but I can imagine myself being more likely to reach for this sunscreen on a cold winter day, especially if I was going skiing. But probably not, because that price tag is too damn high, and if I was going to spend so much on a sunscreen, I would much rather pick a Suqqu one (the texture of the Suqqu is hydrating without being greasy or whitish), or even at a lower price point you have Koh Gen Do and Sekkisui sunscreens I love.
