I think I found my HG sunscreen!
This sunscreen does an amazing job at controlling oil without stinging, breaking me out or making me look pasty (oily/ acne prone skin). Without the sunscreen, my face is oily by 10am.
Over the weekend I went outside and applied a thick layer and the sunscreen lasted a good 4-5 hours. Only my neck was burnt because I forgot to apply the sunscreen there but my face was well protected.
Experiences with other sunscreen for comparison:
LRP XL Anthelios (Anti Shine) – Drying and broke me out
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer clear face – stung my face every time I wore it but didn’t break me out.
Biore Aqua Rich Watery Gel – was my HG for many years until they changed the formula and it became too drying for my face.

I struggle with sunscreen for my face as every single one I have tried breaks me out and feels greasy under make up. I have rosacea and it’s really important for me to use it, above and beyond the normal reasons. It’s also important to me that sunscreen is readily available and also not too expensive.
This was about £8 for a tube, it’s a light cream that melts into my skin nicely and leaves a totally fine base to apply make up on top of. I use it every day, despite my skin issues it doesn’t aggravate or upset my skin; it doesn’t give me pimples! I’m careful round my eyes but so far it hasn’t irritated my eyes which is massive plus!
I will probably try others as I’m a product junkie, but I’ll keep this one in my back pocket as something reliable, easy to find and cheap.

I really love this product! It definitely gave me a shine free face although I wouldn’t say matte but it looked as though I didn’t put any sunscreen on. Felt greasy when first applied but then as I blended the sunscreen it was quickly absorbed and my skin felt smooth and it applied clear. Used it under makeup without any issues. Very cheap to buy and I love that it is SPF 50. I did breakout a little on my forehead but my fringe hides it.

A good protection for your skin. It might set into a semi matte finish but the area above my lips sweats after application and I’m not even in a warm area when I freshly apply this. Otherwise, it does its job. I wish it was not expensive because especially in summer time you will need to repurchase this not only once.

Usually buy LRP Anthelios but was interested in trying this as half the price for the same amount of product and same broad spectrum SPF.
I have combination skin and using this did make a big difference in combating the break through shine I get on my t zone mid morning onward through the day. A light cream which I found it sufficiently moisturising on its own, someone with normal skin may need to add a moisturiser as well. I have tan complexion and this doesn’t leave a white cast
Highly recommend

I was advised to try this SS during the heatwave we had in the UK, over the summer.
I was having trouble keeping SS on my face, due to how thick and greasy my Soltan SPF50 was and I couldn’t find a simple, locally available , no Hyaulronic acid, no Niacinamide, low to no amounts of BG, no white cast, not super greasy and made in the EU, Sunscreen. It is like a unicorn.
Well this little beauty is all of that and a bag of chips. I would call it a lotion, rather than a cream, dries in under 10mins. It isn’t as greasy as most dedicated SPF50’s, however I think that is due to the amount of UVA filters, 4* instead of 5* (4* = 80-90% PF of the UVB – SPF so UVA: 40-45 PF).
It doesn’t have many other all singing ingredients, such as amazing anti oxidants but it layers well for me. So I can add my anti-oxidants in serum form in the AM. It is easy to reapply, is sweat and water resistant. It didn’t break up my full face powder foundation make-up, when I chose to where it, the SS layered nicely under the silicone primer. No piling for me.
It did sting my eyes if I applied to close, but a Sunscreen stick took care of that.
I took off 1/2 a lippy for just adequate packaging, it could be in a pump but the tube is secure and slim, so easy to carry around. The next 1/2 a lippy is for the light “Nivea” fragrance, it didn’t cause me a rash in the hot/humid summer, however if I were to react to the lotion, I would have put money on fragrance being the cause.
However for the price £6.50 – £11. This has been the new SS breakthrough for me this year. I have used 4 tubes so far and now that it is winter, I am down to a different brand, thicker cream SPF30. However I already have a tube of this Nivea SS in the box ready to go for a holiday in Jan.
My skin type is easy to dehydrate, combination (leans oily in summer, dry in winter), sensitive, acne prone, PIH skin. Wooohooo.
