I purchased this sunscreen to use on my trip to Universal Orlando this June. I really liked it!
Most important to me was its effectiveness. I did not burn, nor did I tan, while wearing this sunscreen. The sunscreen simulator (boy, that thing has changed since the last time I used it) says PASS for the ingredients (4.5% Titanium Dioxide, 6.5% Zinc Oxide), so I was happy about that. I applied liberally to arms and legs and reapplied once during our 6-hour stay at the park.
It was also pleasant to use. Even with a generous application, I didn’t end up with those white areas at the insides of my elbows. It wasn’t greasy, tacky or shiny. Definitely took a little effort to apply smoothly but it didn’t roll up or pill. It also didn’t rub off on my clothes or shoes. It has no scent, barely even a smell. No stinging, burning, redness, none of that reactive malarkey. It felt moisturizing without leaving me feeling covered in lotion.
I didn’t use it on my face–I have another sunscreen I like for that purpose–but for the body it was excellent for my purpose and worked really really well. Zero issues with sun exposure even in the heat of summer with the sun blazing down and me surrounded by basically concrete. I felt like I was able to sweat through it, if that makes any sense–my perspiration didn’t seem to displace it nor did it interfere with reapplication.
Other points to ponder: The tube stayed closed in my bag and it was easy to whip it out and reapply. It did take some effort to remove it at the end of the day, had to use my salux. I considered that a plus–if it took time to remove deliberately, it must not have been easy for it to come off unintentionally.
I would definitely repurchase this. I can’t remember how much i paid for it but it was worth it. Somewhere between 8 and 12 dollars, I think.
