I love some Cetaphil products. This seemed promising due to the physical sunscreen SPF and the “redness neutralizing” claim.
The color of this product is very ochre and too dark for me. For reference, the central portion of my face is NW20, very red around my nose, and my skin gets less red/pink toward my jawlines – my neck is NC15 or lighter.
I might use the rest of this tube as a light sunscreen wearing a hat, but it makes me look way too yellow/apricot and slightly too dark. But I will not be repurchasing.

I just used this for the first time today and two people at work have said that my skin looks perfect and glowy. This is a nice, medium coverage bb cream that tones down redness. It only comes in one shade, which is a bummer, but I have fair skin so it matches perfectly. The packaging is nice too: It’s a tube with a pump.

My skin is the worst. I have dry skin. And almost every product I use breaks me out. In acne, clogged pores, & rashes. I stick w the cerave, vanicream, & cetaphil lines for skin care. And i can’t wear makeup. Rather not have ANY bumps on my face. I like it smooth & clear. Most cetaphil moisturizers have hidden fragrance in them. This one has good ingredients. I was looking for a sunscreen to wear daily. I use aveeno baby sensitive mineral sunscreen on days I will be in sun a lot. It makes my face white & chalky looking. But works great. I feel like it might cause a bump or too that clears easily. But better than others I’ve used.
This stuff makes my skin look great! The tint seems a little light at first (I’m Caucasian w brunette hair & it’s summer) But blends away, I feel the tint helps to keep it from looking white bc it’s 100% mineral based sunscreen.
My skin looks SOOO good! I waited a couple weeks bc usually i like something & it ends up causing my skin to react. Not this stuff. It’s kinda expensive for drugstore, but should last a long time. I use cerave lotion first bc I have dry skin. If you’re oily, use this alone. I just LOVE this stuff. Wish I had before pics!

This looks horrible on me. Coming out of the tube, it looks like a neutral shade. After applying, it quickly morphs into an unsightly shade of orange. It’s not “redness reducing” at all. Red skin + orange tinted makeup does NOT = a normal skin tone. It makes you look like an oompa loompa. I even tried applying makeup on top, but the orange shines right through. I’m returning it.

It got itchy after the 1st use. Stupidly, used again, and was bright red and itchy for 3 days.
Yes, it has a nice sheer tint that isn’t too pink and blends in well. It does leave a bit of shine….and when I tried using a clear silicone primer over it to cut the shine, it balled up and turned chalky. I am 46 and it is winter here, so if it made me too shiny, I can’t imagine this will suit anyone except those with the very driest skin. All that for what, spf 20?
This stuff just really sucks. Dermatologist tested, maybe, by the worst one they could find.

Disappointing. The product sounds good on paper–physical SS, fragrance free, no white cast due to tint. Unfortunately, it never dried fully on me, brushed off on my clothes at the slightest contact, and clogged my pores. I returned it.

This is a tinted moisturizer with SPF20 protection. It uses physical blockers in the form of 10.1 percent titanium dioxide and 7.8 percent zinc oxide. I prefer those to chemical, so that’s one big reason I bought this. It also is fragrance free and is supposed to help reduce redness and neutralize it as well.
My skin is on the light side, in the NC20 range. The tint works well for me and looks natural. I’m not sure how well it would work for someone super pale or someone who is really dark, but it is sheer in its coverage so it would probably look good on most skin tones, even medium and slightly beyond.
The formula is unscented and it feels like a standard moisturizer. It’s not a heavy cream, but not like liquid either. Kind of a happy medium. I do get some coverage, but I still have to add concealer if I’m having a bad breakout. On a good day I’m fine with this and a bit of setting powder, however.
It feels really good on my skin, which can turn red in spots and feel a bit inflamed at times. I don’t know if it feels soothed primarily because this is an unscented formula without any oddball additives like citrus extracts, or if there’s something in the formula meant to soothe, but I’ll take it. I’m very happy with this purchase and see myself buying more.
My only gripe would be that it would be nice if this had an SPF of 30, but I can easily pair it with something else to add extra protection. (Plus the packaging suggests using it with other sun protection measures to decrease the risk of skin cancer and sun-related skin aging.)

This is an awesome new addition to the Cetaphil family. This is a sheer light-weight oil-free tinted moisturizer with SPF 20 in a very user friendly tint. The sunscreen ingredients are titanium and zinc oxide (which my skin really likes). The tint matches my skintone exactly (NW20) and tones down the redness and lasts all day. There is only one shade, so this product definitely will not suit everyone’s skin. This, product, coupled with their new Redness Relieving Nighttime Moisturizer (see my review on that product as well), are my two new best friends. My skin has never looked better. After menopause, I have struggled with dry, sensitive skin for a few years now. My skin is also break-out prone. I get sick thinking of all the money I wasted on Clinique products and still had dry, red, itchy, irritated skin. When I would go to the counter and complain, they would just sell me yet another product. Now, I’m so very happy with just these two products. I also am using the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for a few months now and also really like that much better than the Clinique Extra Mild cleanser, which caused my skin to itch.

Was afraid to try this, as I’ve had bad rxns to some of Cetaphil’s other products (the Daily foaming cleanser & the Dermacontrol cleanser), but I suspected the culprit was Cetaphil’s fragrance, and this is fragrance-free. So after eyeing it in my local DS, I grabbed a tube for about $9 (1.7 oz bottle). I was very pleasantly surprised by how well this worked and how calming on my fussy skin! My one complaint is that for some unknown reason, Cetaphil, which lists ings for other products, even in this line, by amount, decided to list its ings by alpha-order. I can’t tell what ing is present in the largest amounts. Very annoying.
Pkging: Excellent. Clean and easy to use tube w/ pump.
Consistency: lotion;not thick
Color: great color, it’s a perfect match for my greenish yellow light-medium skin (I am that color everywhere except where my rosacea blotches have taken over), so this light yellow tint w/ a green undertone is just right. No weird, unnatural mint green tint like some other products designed for rosacea. The tint is actually very close too, just a little more green than, my fave foundation Maybelline FitMe Matte+Poreless in Warm Nude 128.
Coverage: Very sheer. I’m a high coverage mu person, so this is by no means a foundation replacement for me, but for people who don’t like medium to full foundation, this will work just fine as a sheer tint.
Finish: Dewy and bit shiny, but not sticky. I’m oily/dehydrated, and shiny, so this will def. not work for me in warm humid weather, but people w/drier skin could wear it year-round. It’s good for me when my face and the weather is dry/cold. I powder over w/ a pressed powder every day anyway, so the shine isn’t bad and I can pretty much kill it unless it’s hot.
Sun protection: TnO: 10.1%, ZnO 7.8%. About as much protection as you’d expect from spf20. Not a lot, but enough for incidental exposure in my daily office job where at most I go out for errands, lunch, etc. I wouldn’t use this for a day at the beach, or a long walk.
Other: The formula plumps fine lines up a bit, and soothes a permanently dehydrated “crinkle finish” I got from a bad IPL. Nice smoothing effect. It does catch a bit on flakes, but any physical ss will do that. Not nearly as bad as many other physical ss’s out there. None of the red, rashy breakouts I got from Cetaphil’s fragranced products. I note that the cleanser in this line indicated that it contained fragrance.
Clog/breakout effect: none, other than slightly more clogs than I normally get if I wear this every day for a week. However, I note that I am SUPER oily, cloggy, acneic, etc. While this is one of the few rosacea products I can use because normally they are designed for sahara-dry rosacea, and I have oily/dehydrated rosace plus acne, it’s not quite 100% clog free for someone as acneic and oily as I am. However, my skin is a complete nightmare, and I’m sure people whose skin is less oily, less acneic, and is able to shed even a minute % of their dead skin cells naturally (unlike me, whose sebum is apparently like cement or superglue) would have no problem. I’ve worn this altogether, abt 2 weeks, the 2nd week not consecutively.
Overall, good product and I’m glad they left out the fragrance!
