I tried this before because i thought the higher SPF the better it would be for me. BUT NO!!!!!!! This product left me greasy oily. Its like someone could use me to fry an egg or something. and i live in the middle east, i thought this would be the best option for me bts so hot in dubai. but this was the worst product for me. it made my breakouts worse. never again will i buy this.

I have been looking for a decent SPF + UVA lotion forever – and I can’t describe how happy I am now that I got Photoderm MAX.
This product is light, non-greasy and leaves no white traces whatsoever. I use it as a follow-up to my morning skincare routine and did not notice any bad changes in my skin (like break outs or my skin getting too shiny for instance). What I did notice though is that you can use just a small amount, massage it into your skin, leave it there for couple of minutes – and then apply your makeup. It is important for you to let it sink in before throwing on your foundation or primer. My makeup actually applies smoother now that I use Photoderm and also – dry patches I had on my forehead are gone for good.
I believe not to get confused or disappointed with the product you get from the Photoderm range – pay attention to what skin type is it for. Photoderm MAX is best for those of you with normal to dry skin types. If you are somewhat oily, Bioderma has other products from the same range that are oil-free and suitable for you.

I normally use the photoderm AR SPF 5O and I love it as it gives a lovely glow to the face without giving the greasy feeling..and it blends in so perfectly!!
But unfortunately, when I went to pick another tube this time, the guy at the drugstore convinced me to pick up the photoderm MAX SPF 100 as there was an offer of ‘buy one get the other free’ going on!! I thought why not, as it might be better than the photoderm SPF 50 and more SPF!! But boy was I wrong!! The directions said apply generously on the face which I did in a hurry in my car as I left to the office! I dint bother to check how I looked coz i thought just like the photoderm AR SPF 50 this too would blend in my face perfectly! I was in for a shock when I looked at my face in the mirror..my face looked white like I had applied 2 layers of foundation!
The cream is so thick and kind of dry you have to literally add very little on your face for it to sink in and give an even look for the complexion! I regret buying this and I am left with 2 bottles of this product.. Never will I buy this product again even if they are selling it for free. I recommend the photoderm AR SPF 50 anyday over this one!

This is my favourite sunblock of all time. I’ve used a lot of different ones before sticking to just this one.
Firstly, it’s incredibly light. My skin breaks out if I use heavy products on my face, yet it’s remained clear and break-out free while using this one. This is probably my third tube!
However, I must say the tube is definitely not my favourite thing about it. There seems to be some dried up product at its inner tip a lot (under the cap). Maybe it’s just us misusing it, and it’s not really a huge issue.

This product works great! It’s not greasy at all. And it’s very easy to spread. The protection is superb and long lasting.
I use to use L’oreal sun expertise SPF 50+ before and it worked well. Now, I switched to Photoderm MAX because it is less shiny/greasy and lighter texture.

This thing is my Best sunscreen.. I recommend this for any one with a sensitive skin or lives in a sunny country (Like Egypt :D)… The milk is the best although it’s oily but it saves money…& let’s face it, It’s hard to get the high SPF together with the non oily film…Bottom line… I can’t live without this thing

Overall experience: At first I was very excited to use it because this has the highest PPD out there right now. Within 2 days I developed these tiny white bumps on my cheeks and my skin became red and irritated. The texture was very silky and easy to blend which looked good in the morning but at the end of the day it had become so greasy (which is rare for someone like me).
I won’t be buying this again. It’s too expensive for a sunscreen that doesn’t do a good job.

Well, I was living on this stuff for a year at least. I made the switch from the previous product (Max Lait, SPF 60) to this when the old stuff was no longer available. It is highly effective, I don’t burn, tan or anything through it. I took it on a month long trip to Europe in June and while it completely protected me, I had a greasy oil slick face the entire time. From morning til night, I was constantly blotting my face in the bathroom with paper towels. I might reserve this for the days that I’m going swimming only and use a different daily sunscreen for my face on other days. I am a bit ruddy skinned, have reddish brown hair, freckle easily on my arms, but burn very easily. I use Retin-A off and on as well, which contributes to the burn. I never notice a whitish cast on my skin with the european sunscreens (except with the non-chemical Avene SPF 50 Creme Ecran Extreme for Allergic Sensitive Skin–just awful in terms of thickness and white cast). The texture of this is nice and easy to spread (thicker than the old formula though) which makes applying easy. No perfume smell. I don’t wear foundation but just use cover up on top and powder to tone down the shine. I find that there is no good way to control the shine though. Up to you. You’ll never find the perfect product. I found this to be actually more expensive than the new brand I’ve replaced it with, Avene. I am now using Avene Eau Thermale Lait Extreme SPF 50+. I paid about 10 EUR for a 3.4 oz tube in Spain and that was significantly cheaper than the 15EUR tube of Bioderma Max Lait. I’ll next write a review of that one. Overall, I’ll rate this one highly because it is effective at preventing burn which is my main concern with a sunscreen product. I love the sun but it does not love me. It can handle up to 2-3 hours in prime midday summer sun (11-2pm June) with equal time spent under an umbrella and in the direct sun, and with one reapplication after swimming, and still I do not burn.

Well. I am really unsure how I feel about this sunscreen. I am using the lastest version, which is the one without MBC and with alcohol. This has a minor white cast, easily fixed with powder or bronzer or self-tanner. It dries pretty matte. It has good staying power and a labeled ppd of 35.
Now, I used it over Memorial Day weekend taking the family to the pool. I did not lay out in the sun, wore a hat, and was mostly in the shade since the pool was not heated and nobody could stand to get into the 68 fdegree water. The next day, I noticed my melasma had darkened. I have spent longer time out in direct sunlight with Avene ss on and not had this happen. Also, on both occasions I used this sunscreen I got cystic pimples a day or so afterwards.

The texture is remarkably similar to Elmer’s Glue. I feel like it takes a lot of effort to rub this in and then it feels heavy on my skin. I’m acne prone and it has never broken me out, but the texture is just yuck. For the cost, it should be better.
