You might like this sunscreen if you have dry skin and wish to avoid the white cast that comes with most sunscreens. I realized that it would be heavier due to the hyaluronic acid content, but I thought it wouldn`t be a problem to use in the colder season, when my skin turns a bit drier. Prior to this, I was using heavier sunscreens in fall/winter with no problems, but this is not the case with this sunscreen. It feels like it`s too slippy and greasy and doesn`t mesh well with any of my foundations. I will continue to use this up, but only on the neck and hands. The price is really low and you get a pretty big tube.

Offers great protection for incidental sun exposure. I no longer use this on my face since it clogs my pores a bit and leaves it looking a bit shiny, which never really went away. Felt very heavy probably from all the silicones. It works beautifully on my body though! This would also be great for people with drier skin types.

Pros: Zero white cast despite excellent UV-a protection, non irritating, removes easily, somewhat hydrating/moisturizing
cons: can be sticky and shiny due to the hyaluronic acid, high alcohol content can actually dry after a few days of use despite all the added moisturizers..or sting if my my skin is dried out or I have a rosacea flare going on.
Overall, its a good sunscreen and any kind of primer or tinted primer on top will cut the shine, but if your skin is the slightest bit sensitive to alcohol this won’t work.

This is my second purchase, further research show this uses ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate as the 2nd ingredient to block out UVB, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine in the 9th ingredient list; titanium dioxide in the far end of the 30 something ingredient list.
Alcohol (isopropol) is on the 5th listing.
This has a nice smooth consistency, good for my dry skin in summer but not on my T zone though. It also has some nice skin care ingredients in which the rubbing alcohol pretty well negates it.
This claimed to have spf 50 pa++++, as with all Asian made sunscreen, there is no expiration date, there is no knowing how long it has left the production line.
Final thought: no repurchase for me.

I feel like this makes my foundation and concealer look a lot more natural and radiant. The hyaluronic acid in this softens my fine lines (I’m too young for wrinkles, although I bet it’d help those too). Another reason it serves as a good primer is it is watery enough that my very matte foundation glides on like butter. It is NOT heavy nor leaves any white cast. And it does not burn my skin. I love Biore sunscreens but a few of them are full of citrus acid “fragrance”, which flares my rosacea. So I was pleased Hada Labo didn’t make that mistake.
Now, the cons. I am very oily & this does not stay matte under my make up all day. I’ll still use it because I like the effects of it, but I do find myself reaching for powder more often & that’s a hassle. On the bright side, it does not break me out despite the lack of oil control.
I think it’s probably best suited for those with normal – dry skintypes. I like it but I will admit it’s not the best for oily skin. 🙁 I’ll probably reach for it the most during winter months or whenever I’m dried out from over exfoliating my face with chemicals.

I bought this off Amazon when the seller had listed it as UV Whitening Emulsion. Unfortunately I didn’t check the listing properly and they mentioned that the Perfect UV Gel was the new version and this is what they would be sending.
I wanted the Whitening version as it was alcohol free, and the Perfect UV Gel has alcohol listed very near the top of the ingredients list. I only paid $12.00 and it would be a hassle to send back to Japan, so I decided to keep it and use it up.
It’s not a bad sunscreen, although it is unexpectedly greasy for a product with a high alcohol content. It does leave me shiny with an oily film on my face, but it works great under makeup so I can’t complain too much. I haven’t noticed my skin drying out, or any breakouts so it performs well in that regard.
I won’t buy this again (if I had to buy a sunscreen with alcohol, it would be Shiseido Anessa as this had a great matte finish) but I am glad that I tried it. And please read Amazon listings carefully before buying – I won’t be making this mistake again!
