I use this as an everyday sunblock, and so far I like it very much. The review below said the UV protection may not be enough, but I find it is sufficient for everyday wear for uni, work etc. since I am not always outside for an extended period of time.
Despite the fact this is a physical sunblock, I don’t find it greasy at all and it is few of the physical sunblocks that I’ve tried that I can stand to wear on a daily basis. The fact it is cruelty free and uses natural ingredients make me like it even more.
I got this on special so the price I got it at was really good, but usually it is $40nzd for a 250ml tube – which is slightly out of my budget. I would definitely repurchase if it was on special again.

Bought this NZ sunscreen from Healthpost in the 250ml size for ~$30AUD. I used this sunscreen for 6-9 months and loved it due to the great texture, which is similar to a moisturiser – light, hydrating and smelled nice due to the shea butter, jojoba oil, and castor oil, which meant the product dried matte.
In this time I used it everyday and still developed dark spots on my face! Looked up the UVA protection factor (PPD/PA) on the BASF Sunscreen Simulator ( Results showed that at 8% zinc oxide and 7% ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate this sunscreen failed most of the regional UVA metrics (in vivo simulated PPD factor of <0.33 for Europe / equivalent of only PA++ 5.4)! The real life SPF was calculated at <40% (17) of the labelling too. I emailed the Oasis Beauty team with the results and they noted that they were working on increasing the UVA protection (even though it is broad spectrum, sufficient for Australian standards) and looked to release an improved formula next summer.
I would not recommend this sunscreen for the reason that it appears to provide insufficient UVA protection under stricter European and Japanese standards (but met Australian/NZ standards which is less strict on UVA protection) and didn't seem to provide me adequate sun protection!!
Pros:
- Great texture, like a moisturiser with a very hydrating formula
- Dries matte and does not leave white cast
- Mostly natural product
- Reasonable price for large volume
Cons:
- Not waterproof, would start 'melting' off with sweat
- Possibly insufficient UVA protection - low PPD/PA rating under European and Japanese standards
