Hands down, 12,000% the worst sunscreen I have ever had the displeasure of using. This was the first mineral sunscreen I’ve ever used, and maybe the chalk-like texture and appearance is an innate trait of such sunscreens, but from the very first spray I knew I hated this. Like the previous reviewer, I am also very fair skinned and I too had the problem of this leaving white streaks all over me, giving me the look of a beach-ready cadaver. It also stained my bathing suit white and did not easily wash out. It was nearly impossible to spread onto my skin and left woefully obvious streaks where I just couldn’t get it to cover my arms and legs evenly. I didn’t even attempt to use this on my face. I wasn’t exposed to the sun for more than an hour, so I didn’t get to test the product’s effectiveness that well, but at least I can say I did not burn. If you read reviews of this sunscreen on Ulta’s site, there are many complaints of users getting terrible burns. Finally, when it came time to wash off the sunscreen, it proved to be nearly impossible even after soaking in the tub for 30-45 minutes and then vigorously scrubbing with a loofah. It’s a shame because I do like some other products from Pacifica, but this is just not recommended. Had I read the reviews prior to purchasing, I would’ve gone with Sun Bum instead, which is what I ended up exchanging this for.

This mineral sunscreen claims to leave no white cast, but it obviously does! I’m really pale and I struggle. I find it makes me look even more pale and ghoulish. The best way to wear it is to rub it between your palms, pat it on your face, then rub it in. Even then it doesn’t blend seamlessly into the skin. I like that it doesn’t make me look dry and makeup goes on decently on top of it. I just don’t see how anyone with a deeper skin tone than me can wear it. It’ll make you look casket ready! I feel like I have to wear makeup after I apply this to look alive. Other than that, the formula is nice and has a pleasant smell. You just gotta REALLY work it into the skin. I’ll finish the bottle, but will not repurchase. The hunt for a good mineral face sunscreen will continue.
