I was on a cruise a couple years ago, and didn’t think ahead that I might need a little tube of physical sunscreen to carry around for reapplication on my face. The reason? Because sebum pouring out of my oily T-zone basically dissolved my initial application of sunscreen, and I was getting burned on just my nose and forehead. In desperation, I went to the ship spa and asked about their products, Luzern La Defense SPF 30 being one of them. The sunscreen is a lightweight cream, dries to a matte finish, and is very silicone-laden, which blurs pores and lines somewhat. There is a light scent which I think is from natural botanicals and essential oils–it isn’t unpleasant at all, and smells a bit like melon.
Unfortunately for me and my very oily T-zone, even though the product is mattifying, it contains a good number of emollients. Applying it to my face was barely effective after I had already been out and about, sweating and producing oil on my nose and forehead. It made my greasy parts even more so, and frankly just wouldn’t stay put on the oily areas of my face, which is where I needed it most. The tube came home with me–it was very expensive, so I vowed to use it on my hands. As a hand cream, it is quite nice. However, it is not quite emollient enough for very dry hands in winter, so I tend to use it in the summer time. Funny how sometimes a single product is too greasy for one part of my skin, and not emollient enough for others. Oh well, the joys of combination skin. I definitely will not repurchase this expensive and limited product again.

This is a great product if you want a deep dark tan! It moisturizes the skin so well and goes on so smooth and evenly. It smells amazing too! It lasts for a few days and sometimes up too a week depending on how well you take care of it. Great product!

Well, i would love to use this product again as it makes my skin look so smooth and bright, except for one important thing: it has retinyl palmitate which is a form of vit A and its known that vit A is broken down in UV light, and thus increasing the risk of skin cancer. So Be Aware!

This is the best physical sunblock I have used by far. I find it brightens my complexion rather than creating a white cast. No acne or bumps 100% botanical.

This sunscreen is white probably because of the zinc oxide and is slightly white after being applied. The good thing about it is that the whiteness goes after a while. I like it being white in a way because it makes me feel like my skin is protected against the sun. I also like the fact its gentle enough to use around the eye area.The packaging is difficult to get the product out of though. I appy this on top of my serum and moisturiser for daily protection. To get rid of the whiteness foundation can be applied afterwards. I highly recommend this for holidays to apply on the beach, although the product is quite fine and can be used everyday. This product does not break me out and one 60ml bottle lasts me around 3 months or more.
