This sunscreen feels oily on the skin like a filmy layer, but it does dry up within a few hours. I wouldn’t put this under dewy makeup because everything just starts to slide around on top. It doesn’t make your face have a strange white cast, though but this is rather pricey for what it does.

Ordered this through Sephora after seeing so many raved review of this product. I had been sourcing for cruelty free options for a sunscreen and voila, supergoop caught my eyes. I really loved it…initially.
It’s very light weight and easy to apply on my skin, some people have commented on how greasy it was but I didn’t think so, it’s just perfect for me. It gives me a hydrated feeling after the application.
But just one major problem. Hives started popping on my face over the past 1 week since I first started using. At first I’m thinking oh probably I didn’t had an oil cleanser i should be doing a double cleanse if I’m applying sunscreen everyday. But nope, after a good double cleanse I still get those itchy hot burning hives on my face that lasted about 10-30 minutes before it settles back to normal. That was how the suspicion came about that this sunscreen could be the culprit of an allergic reaction.
I stopped using the product and return back to an Asia made sunscreen and indeed my allergic reaction stopped. No more hives attack. So this draws a conclusion that 1) I really loved this product 2) but im not suited for it.
Overall would still give a 3 out of a 5 because it’s just how my body reacts to the active ingredients used. Strongly recommend users to do patch testing or research before purchasing. I believed it takes a couple of tries to know which kind of sunscreen is most suitable for you.

I like this product because it is very lightweight and can be layered over my skincare routine with absolutely no problem. I have had other products ball up or flake over when applied over serums and moisturizers, but this does not come off and does not feel waxy, greasy, drying, etc. over other products. I liked the amount of protection, but I don’t think I will purchase a full size of this because I prefer mineral sunscreens.
